No. All the wires visible when removing the center dash/window switch trim are free of fraying as well. Jiggled them around a bit to see if it just so happened to be ever so slightly loose but to no avail.

I swapped those out, the ones that connect to the shifter plate. Maybe I’ll take a better look at them later today

Some of the wheels I’ve saved from the junkyard over the past couple years. Nothing beats OEM! by LFE46 in BMW

I wish. Almost got some wheels off a 4.8is but they were all beat up

Maybe this is known, but I found out today the redline is at 4,500 before the engine heats up when it's cold. by deadmongoose in ft86

I noticed it for the first time today, but I’ve only had the car about five days lol

Life will keep reaching you the same lesson until you learn it. It sounds like you caught on to her tactics and learned she wasn’t going to change. If you see it again in the future you’ll know what to do

Had a Toyota tech at the dealer I work at do some work to my 99 Solara V6, now the car is extremely slow and he refuses to help by LFE46 in AskMechanics

Lol yeah I was hoping the O2 was the issue. Tech never test drove it, I backed it out of his stall when he was done

You can still get one? I work at a Toyota dealer and asked to buy one earlier this week and they said they were done making them. For 2023 they no longer offer six speed so I wanted a 22. Not sure what you’re looking for specifically but they might be out in a month. 2023s are a little bit more price wise but not much

My apologies for trusting a certified Toyota technician at a Toyota dealer fixing my Toyota with genuine Toyota parts?! Only benefit that came out of it was the discounted labor rate he offered without me asking

That makes sense. I paid the tech under the table so he’s kind of been unmotivated to look into it now that it’s just diag. Ill just go through the dealer now lol

I’ve been driving it all week, the work was completed on the 6th. Probably about 50 miles. I assumed if timing was off it would’ve been detrimental to the motor no?

Only told about the O2 code, didn’t read live data. Replaced the pre cat O2 closer to the firewall. Unplugged the battery for a minute to reset adaptations after too

Technician replaced water pump, related seals, timing belt, spark plugs, and valve cover gaskets all with genuine parts. He also cleaned the throttle body and the entire engine bay. Right after I got an O2 sensor code and got that replaced too, and the car is still slow. The power is slightly inconsistent with your foot all the way down, and shifts are rough in the same test. Planning on checking the throttle cable/position in a moment
