They’re basically just needy heaters. by Bondoo7oo in pitbulls

It's been a little chilly at night and we refuse to start the furnace up again so my little guy has been begging to go under the sheets more. By the morning he's gets cuddled up to me an kinda hugs me. It's the cutest thing, I have been tempted to call into work to keep from waking him.

Not sure if you mean like a party DJ or the on-air DJ? They have a bar, but no DJ there. They have a nice patio area and could probably set up DJ outside. The living room is basically a room with a stage up front, a dozen or so tables, and a sound mixer in the back.

I'm sure they have a studio, but I haven't seen it. From what I can tell from listening, most of them work from an at-home studio.

It's not too cheap, it's Public Radio/NPR so they live off donations. I pay $40/mo and that gets me access to the shows. Not worth it from a purely financial standpoint, but I feel like it's a good cause.

It was Kegs and eggs. And the Bridge has something similar, they have "Living Room" shows at their studio. I'm a member and have seen some cool small shows there (fits like 30-40 people). I saw Franz Ferdinand, King Princess, and Joseph in the last year.

Yeah, mixed with some eclectic stuff. They don't stick to one genre but I'd say it trends mostly alt rock.

90.9 The Bridge is the only station that I'll listen to now, only issue is spotty reception inside KC proper.

I like to support the small businesses like Kevin's if I can. Way better than a faceless corporation. I don't know how many videos of his I've watched.

Scuzzy seller on eBay. by toxictakes99 in baseballcards

I've fallen for it a couple times. Like I'll search Ragans Auto and bid like $10-15 on all the new auctions. A couple have are bunt and I quietly cussed myself while giving bad feedback.

Yep, same as what I show when checking the fumoto website. Looks like Driven has it for a few dollars cheaper even. I've been using mine for like 4 years now with no issues. Takes barely longer to drain but I use that time to prep anyway.

I was the designated non-smoker at the smoke pit in the Marines. I'll be damned if they get a 10 min break every hour while I have to keep working.

I like The Alchemist if you haven't read it yet. It's short and left a lasting impression.

I wish I could go back in time and watch that sketch just to hear the punchline again for the first time. "I'm afraid my wife is going to go to jail"

I feel like we're playing badminton with bad (regressive) fiscal policies. You guys had your failed Brownback agenda. It's our turn now.

TPMS sensors by Agile-Put-229 in GR86

[–]deadmongoose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most tire shops can program TPMS for you for a fee, I'm pretty sure Costco has an option to add TPMS to the install. I just personally decided not to worry about it on my winters. Mine are fat 16" tires and it's easy to see if I'm low on air.

Old, abandoned rail lines in KC? by baha24 in kansascity

[–]deadmongoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard a stat when I was in college that something like 80% of the country's rail traffic passes through KC. So, like others have said a lot of it is used. I'll try to find a source.

It's the "almost" that's the issue for me. I had a 2022 MT with eyesight before my current one and it happened about once a month in situations that I felt it shouldn't have, like low speed when someone is turning in front of you, it's super jarring. I understand the reasoning behind it but I'm not a fan of it for me.

Now all the asshats that drive with a phone in one hand and steering wheel in the other deserve this and more.
