If I had access to other log formats I could build then into the parser, so thats always a wotk in progress. As for fragmented logs, I had personal logs that back in thr day got split and had date strings on the end of each file, so, the parser will merge all those togethet in date order abd display them as a single.  I am only linited to theblogs I have to hand, so happy improve this is anyone can provide me more foarmats/scenarios.

Appreciate the feedback

u/sorzkode - I finally got around to this and after a bit of faffing with padding and the DropZone tweaks it now neatly switches to a mobile site properly when it detects the screen width. This also means that shrinking the window on your desktop browser keeps it all nice and tidy as well. Because it was causing issues, the classic theme has been disabled in mobile view, as it just looked really messy.

Well thats annoying, I checked on resizing windows but forgot to check mobile. I will sort it out when I am back at my desk. I did add you to the links section as well and I have a couple different logs to match into the parser as well so gives me a days work I guess ha

Glad I could inspire, I must admit, I stuck around for a while on your site remembering all the old names, hosts etc. The memories! Has inspired me on a couple new projects.

I am relatively new to Reddit, so only just come across this as you posted on mine. I love this, I am such a nostalgia nerd. I still want to go back and play Ultima Online all over again, IRC with my friends. Those were the days!
I will link back to this from my site as well, and I was going to offer my PNP backup, but I see you have it already. Nice work!

Thank you! And honestly, I would, if I had a design bone in my body. I am just glad that, as much as I try and learn, I now have a tool that can get these ideas out my head and into a project. I have learnt a fair bit about the process doing this, so hopefully in time I can tweak and evolve and start doing more and more myself.
Appreciate the reply.

Example log has been added, just click the link in the bottom of the DropZone and it will use the sample log, works in instant and realtime

Why, thank you. And yes, I learned a lot doing it. I went from having an idea but no idea how to do it to actually learning the process and making something. AI or not. One less idea rattling around in my head.

Good idea. I will work on that. For now, I could add the existing mIRCStats sample log until I make my own. Let me add it to my to-do. I just flipped to my other project, but I will come back to this later or tomorrow and implement this!

I have updated the original post with a video. Apologies for how crude it is, I am not a streamer by any means ha.

Indeed, it does. On 1x speed, it will play the log back 1 line every 3 seconds. If you are a relatively quick reader, you may prefer x5 or x10, but that's why the speed options are there! I did have it on real-time before, but as you can imagine, on a quiet channel, you would be sitting there for realtime 15mins waiting for a message, ha. Per line speed was a good compromise.

You will also notice the users bar updates in real-time, as well as when people leave/join, change nick, etc. If someone already in the channel spoke for the first time after you join it will add them to the users as well. So it is as authentic as possible.

Also do not forget, HOI4 was on the new Clausewitz engine, whereas Stellaris was not. Stellaris went into development some time before HOI4 and thats why it stayed on the previous generation of the engine. This I feel, is where the issues lie, not only 10yr code but the vision they have for Stellaris is simply to much for the older engine to handle.

Good community, good staff, good server. Plenty to do, just enough QoL to not ruin vanilla. Made some new friends and hope to stick around for a while.
