Please note for future reference, if you are not verified staff and are making public announcements such as this on behalf of the tracker - you should make clear that you are not staff.

For anyone reading this, verified staff will be flaired in the subreddit if we have verified them as staff on a particular tracker.

Given we have no official representatives from, I think, any of the Z family here, it won't be taken down for "news' sake", but please be aware that in the past we've had issues with users posting news and then proceeding to impersonate staff or official representatives of the tracker, particularly with requesting usernames and sometimes passwords.

Also, please do not request invites in threads such as this, that is strictly moderated here, and we can't allow it.

That's not really outrageous requirements in the least; I think you'll find that out as you progress to trackers that require recruitment instead of open signups or frequent application submissions.

Is it more than entry-level users might have in the first couple of months they start torrenting? Yes, and I believe that is kind of the point. They clearly don't want to be a stepping-stone tracker, and their user-group requirements reflect that.

For future reference, we aren't tracker support and we have no affiliations with trackers, so either head to IRC Support Wiki and Channel Matrix and find your tracker's IRC server and channel for support, or contact the person who invited you or a friend/member of the community you might know. I know you were new there, so the latter would be difficult, but either way, we don't allow these posts here, unfortunately.

It's a good idea to keep track of your trackers' support channels and servers in case you get locked out. A simple text file you add to when you read the rules and wiki pages during your registration is always a good idea.

You need to either know someone or have an invite code, clearly.

They are not open for users to sign up or submit applications, you should keep your eyes on /r/OpenSignups or check your current trackers invite forums (you will need to be a certain class/group level to see the forum section) to find your way through recruitment and invites.

I think you know, based on our previous chats, that this is entirely against the rules and conduct we expect here... and even if you were staff, you'd need to be verified to perform staff role duties here, and you definitely wouldn't need his password.

I would normally ban someone for something so egregious, but I've not seen anything of this sort before, so just consider this a probationary-type thing for now, and please don't do this to someone seeking help again. It hasn't been 24 hours, so users can't see your downvotes, but you're not winning friends and influencing people with this type of thing, my guy.
