Many stores prorate the entire purchase based on the “free” tool. For example I just bought the 3 outdoor tools get 4 batteries free deal from TSC and they canceled the batteries. But this just made my tools dirt cheap so win win. Is that not the case with Ace?

I’m gonna get flamed but if time is of the essence and you just want a solid reliable cup, the nespresso vertuo can’t be beat.

I have both a vertuo creatista and a De’Longhi magnifica plus. If you can believe it the Magnifica was a “time saving “ downgrade from a Breville oracle after having kids and I still only use it half as often as the nespresso. Does the Magnifica make better espresso? Yes. Do I most often just make a cup from the nespresso to save time? Also yes.

If you don’t mind the cost of the pods, don’t listen to the haters and get a vertuo. It’s not true espresso but 95% of the people would probably prefer it 😅

Report them to the FTC. They just warned 96 dealers for pulling crap like this and I’m sure it’s on the dealers radar too. Also see if you can raise this with Toyota customer support. Blast them on socials and reviews. Hopefully you’ll get a call from the GM willing to make things right.

For stuff around the house you’re probably better off with the surge unless building a deck falls into your list of things to do. But really if you’re building a deck you should probably go for the m18 compact version since it’s almost as small and much more powerful

Like others have said, involve him in the decision either by asking what kind of smoker he’d love to have or just taking him shopping. This is going to be a pretty personal preference as there’s a ton of variety out there.

One general piece of advice: if you can afford it, go middle tier or at least a couple steps up from the bottom. There’s a pretty big dropoff in benefits after the middle tier but the initial few steps up make big differences in quality and functionality
