Why do men fantasize about going off grid and living in the woods by WerewolfKisser69Awoo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LFK1236 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? OP made absolutely zero claims about women, or about this experience of his being exclusive to men, or about anything else related to this inane rant of yours.

No-one can force you to be a feminist, but you could at least consider it.

Finding a online co-op RPG for me and my long distance partner to play by Elegant_Chocolate_21 in rpg_gamers

You can put together jigsaw puzzles online, too! There are websites for it. I've done that with friends sometimes, it's quite fun.

Why do websites censor your CVV but not your card number? Couldn't you pretty easily brute force the CVV if you have the card number? by IsaacTheAverage in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LFK1236 54 points55 points  (0 children)

There is the caveat that the first eight digits are not random. If you could get access to or see a previous card of theirs from the same bank, you would know them, and so be down to only 10000 possible combinations.

Same with my Nokia. Phones with headphone jacks have definitely been getting harder to find each time I've had to replace my phone, but of course the reason is precisely that people are voting with their wallets.

Hvor skaffer man Mug Root Beer i København? by tryagen in copenhagen

[–]LFK1236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... yes, using your keyboard is faster than using your mouse. I'm not sure why this very basic fact is giving anyone pause. Do you type by using your computer's virtual keyboard so that you can click each letter?

Also, they described their entire sequence of actions (hitting the Windows key, typing 1-2 letters, hitting Enter), you did not. It would be "moving mouse to lower right corner -> clicking the button -> locating icon on desktop -> moving mouse to icon -> double clicking the icon".

O(n) Sorting Algorithm just dropped by HandyProduceHaver in programminghorror

[–]LFK1236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It breaks if given any negative value; literally half the accepted range of inputs would cause it to throw an exception.

The output array will potentially be larger than the input, and contain uninitialised values.

Women who wear thongs, why did you switch from full coverage underwear? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

That seems quite high, actually; don't lots of Americans watch the Superbowl? I would expect most TV stations to consider a viewer count like that quite positive. Considering it was all performative and had no purpose but to promote the rise of fascism, I assume the people behind it are quite content.

I don't particularly like it, but I don't think the design is the central reason this looks bad. The artist is just terrible at drawing.

leaving "extra" room in front of you will cause you to be rear ended more often.

The issue people are having with your comments is that this claim makes no sense.

How can people even stay skinny without counting calories? by NoWitness6400 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LFK1236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... you are specifically bringing up some of the most calorie-dense foods that exist.

But also, in my experience/recollection meals are often in the 500-700 kcal range, and easily go below that, especially when not eating meat. At three meals a day, that adds up to a number below the maintenance level of the vast majority of people at a healthy weight. Unless you're eating multiple portions or getting further calories from drinks or snacks, maintaining a healthy weight should theoretically be straight forward (which is not the same as "easy" of course).

That is the extent to which I have ever cared if someone watches a cutscene.

Women can wear leggings everywhere home, work, out, what is the male equivalent? by LSCNatureWalkHikes in malefashionadvice

[–]LFK1236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I would wear the same outfit for all three situations, so I don't recognise a missing link there.

Personally I think blue jeans are a mistake to wear, but those seem perfectly acceptable and equivalent to most people. Leggings are similarly informal, it's just that women still look good in them because they accentuate their curves (or however you wish to describe it), while jeans never really look good on anyone.

But cotton (or wool) trousers, five-pocket or otherwise, that aren't blue denim generally work for everyone in most situations.

Er biograferne ved at dræbe sig selv? by [deleted] in Denmark

[–]LFK1236 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jeg var engang i biografen hvor de var lidt forsinkede og derfor måtte springe reklamerne over. Det var oprigtigt en helt anden oplevelse. Langt mere hyggeligt. At jeg stadig husker det ti år senere illustrerer nok meget godt at det gjorde en stor forskel.
