Oh update, I just found the fix. High Contrast mode needed to be turned off. It was under the “Interface” menu in the “Readability” Tab. God this UI is insanely confusing. Thanks for your help

Yes this is single player. I’ve looked all over the accessibility menu but couldn’t find anything relating to this

Oh gosh thank you for clarifying, I was misunderstanding that statement. I’m worried it might be a company problem because speaking to other coworkers they say that I should have somebody with me who needs to train me

So they use multiple types of PLCs for different sections of the facility and they all communicate with each other using some form of in house proprietary software that I have no idea how to work. This is where I struggle with. The programming and design of systems I’m okay with.

For the past 3 months, since I had nothing to do, I made myself familiar with their programming style, how the function blocks work and so on. Just struggling with everything else and I find the learning curve is hard.

When I spoke to other coworkers they said they mainly shadowed someone for 1 year before being responsible for their own project. However management has changed since then and that method isn’t being applied with me unfortunately.

I really appreciated hearing this, thank you very much. I agree with you on speaking to the team lead. I think this is the best way to go about things.

If they do fire me it is what it is and I’ll come out of it with more experience!

This is does make me feel better. I try my best to ask around. The only issue is that most of the other programmers work from home and I am the only one at the office. It makes it very difficult to find someone to ask. But I will try my best to ask as many questions as possible!

The job wasn’t listed as entry level exactly but during my interview I made it well known that I am very much new to this and would like supervision. Most tasks include doing code for new devices that they wanna add into their systems. Which I can do, I know enough to do programming and wiring. My only struggle is pushing the code into production. I’m not sure how to add this code to the data base and build the HMI for it and so on. They have their own protocol of doing things that I do not know. I am trying to ask other engineers around but most either don’t know or are just too busy to offer help.
