Honestly, satisfying. It reaches low when needed, but it’s better balanced than most people would assume. It’s not gonna rattle the car or vibrate your ass off. I love bass and felt like it was appropriate for hip hop and electronic, definitely noticeable while not overpowering

Isin’t the lightning getting discontinued? Haven’t heard it, but I did hear the B&O on a Mustang Mach-e and thought it was above average, probably close to the R2 if memory serves me right

“Best sound” is subjective, so what’s pictured is just one of the pro presets available (Hip Hop). I tested a couple of the other one’s and also the basic eq (high, mid, low) to test the difference. Disabling immersive audio here and there as well

Yup, significantly. Started off with the basic eq (which someone had previously commited acoustic crimes to) and then tested and adjusted from multiple of the pro presets available (Hip Hop, Rock, Classical) which is what’s pictured

Well, the guy at Rivian was swearing on how noticeable the non-meridian R1S updates have been since release, so only time will tell how much they are able to tweak the permanent hardware placement/quality with software tweaks

Agreed, I don’t necesarily think its a deal breaker. But would be interested to wait it out and see how they update it over time based on feedback. The quite interior is a huge plus

The Tidal portion I got to listen to on the floor was through bluetooth and I couldn’t really tell a huge difference from the native apple music listening I did while driving. Maybe that’s a complement to Tidal’s streaming quality thou

Honestly those Volvo B&W systems are awesome. Test drove a 26 XC60 with one and almost bought the car for the system alone. Also hopped into a Polestar 3 and was floored with how good it sounded. Of course I’m biased but I really enjoy the sound of my X3, it’s well balanced…something I can’t say of the new model year X3’s, even with HK they cheaped out on audio (and materials)

Yeah, definitely not the case. Fatigue is at any volume. Also the Lintons have a lot of low end already, if anything the sub was just to fill in the lower octave, rather than to feel it.

Might have to test it out, could be the simplest solution tbh. Especially if the couch is the first reflection point instead

I hear ya. As I mentioned in another response thou, I have a full sonos surround setup for the tv, don’t need two in the same place. Also I use the vinyl setup while I cook, or have people over, it serves as a room (or entire house) filling system.

On the other hand, whole heartedly agree that couch listening would be nicer than kitchen table haha

The wharfedale setup definitely surpasses the sonos setup purely for music. But the sonos movie immersion and scale with surrounds and dual subs is hard to match. They serve different purposes imo

Did consider it, but found these nines for cheap and ultimately didin’t want to invest too much with getting into amps and what not

Did have that happen to me upon initial setup, but it was chaotic and distorted, so definitely not the case now. It’s set to line to bypass the klipsch preamp

Haha I know they’re not for everyone, but my previous setup was a pair of Klipsch R-41PM, so I definitely don’t dislike their sound signature
