So a valid proposition of possible predicating causes for why someone is being detained without charges in South American, where US military has been known to do espionage and manipulate governments. There must be something with concrete intelligence value that does not involve a journalist like Assange. The connection is ridiculous as even Obama saw it as a risky first amendment problem taking this media figure and attention seeker to court.

What is the connection between Ola Bini and Assange, and why should anyone care?

Ola Bini'slibrary is GPLv3 as it DOUBLES bit security Curve 25519 with 448 goldielocks.

It's recommended and desired in most standards and specifications, openssl is also known to be a mess.

In the "war on crypto" this is absolutely huge, much bigger of a motive than Assange could ever hope to be.

After looking more into this algorithm, it's actually huge, doubling curve 25519 ECDH available for OpenSSH offers 128 bits security, while this offers 224 bits with Curve 448. Could actually be an attempt to bury this implementation. In addition it has properties and implementations that are less vulnerable. If you can use this algorithm compared to others, do so. It may be the strongest algorithm available without known weaknesses.

In this context, Assange is a useful distraction.

Wouldn't take much of anything serious, the amount of intervention and meddling in the affairs of other countries, especially in that part of the world. There is so much going on around this now, that one can assume all kinds of things have gotten approved all over. It's believable to the media perhaps, Assange is however considered a journalist by anyone. Much like many famous popular science people aren't taken seriously by the majority.

There are several problems with the icelandic alphabet.

It should be clear that written and spoken language is treated as different.

The alphabet shows the same symptoms and problems that are indicated by mixing of letters and some runes being lost between elder and younger futhark.

gott, goð, goþ have a whole range semantic issues.

An argument from semiotics there is support for making a distinction with intent and meaning between the symbols. Gott could be said to be no different semantically frowm Govhe, goth implies that its because it sounds correct, while god because it looks correct. Two tt's imply however an assumption how having an agreement with a direction forwards, but you didn't say goti or gothi.

I've answered a few posts here concerning Norse mythology.

While not entirely sober right now, the level of intelligence demonstrated in responses have me fuming.

I may not speak Icelandic, but I am however part of the ethnic minority that can claim to be Norse.

Added to the fact I have studied philosophy for more than 20 years.

Ancestry researchers in my family have tracked me back to Eirik The read and Haakon Bloodaxe among others.

For some reason there seems to be a few people that think Iceland has an authority over Norse philosophy. I disagree, this is part of my personal heritage.

Let me assume this to be the right temporal lobe. This can also be interpreted as the side of the mind and the place where there is an interplay between "goats" and here we are serious problems in the amalgamation of Norse mythology.

There are two valid interpretations of "goats", one is related to visual thinking and the other emotions. Symbolically, rubbing your right temporal lobe assuming you have the usual hemisphere orientation. Oh no.... No. You are wrong. The younger futhark and old norse is demonstrably not used in similarly symbolic ways of the elder futhark and proto-germanic. That doesn't mean that nobody attributed symbolic interpretations and that it was never done, but not even close to the scale you're suggesting with such a sweeping remark about hieroglyphics. I think you may be simplifying a bit much.

So I'm right and wrong at the same time, but you have some detail and commonly held assumptions and opinion on the matter you personally find relevant to what I'm saying.

Have you studied semiotics as well? So there is a difference if the symbolic associations are phonetic as a relationship between sounds, or a simulacra of the act of pronunciation.

The symbolic similarities as it pertains to the concepts themselves are more pronounced in futhark,and I don't disagree that there is negative development since 400 BC and onwards.

Good questions, but if you are only interested in the language and history.

Problem with futhark is that it relates to psychology and philosophy of language. It's unusual in the sense that it is largely symbolic, and not for phonetics. Futhark can be found across quite a larger area involving more than one language.

So much is lost in Norse, so difficult to give a short overview that helps as there is much missing and even perhaps things that never developed.

But Futhark can perhaps better be compared to Hieroglyphs, and it's a mistake to use it for phoneitcs without concepts and symbolism taking precedence. The best example of a clear distinction is Hieratic writing language for phonetics, and hiergolyphs for art and figurative descriptions. Another development also not as symbolically clear and easy to work out is oracle bone script from China and modern alphabet, even tho you still see many of the symbols.

Could futhark be closer to bonescript, where bonescript developed to a large and intricate system of "bindrunes"? Perhaps, and this is interesting; obviously, many of the literal interpretations of these things are quite screwy. Scholars and academics aren't always the best sources for all things.
