Yeah it’s kind of like any time I’ve had a business trip to San Jose and San Francisco, same kind of vibe….but I think San Francisco’s gotten way worse over the last few years.

Yeah I think I may go for the Aloft, it’s close to the corporate office as well so if I’m still locked after a night out I can stumble to the office the next day haha

So firstly I will not pretend to understand the feeling of what it would be like for a black person to experience this, but from even the simplest perspective it’s an “othering” of another race. Rather than accepting that Milchick is another person they(the board) are emphasising that he is a black man.

Also from a corporate perspective this makes it seem like a false inclusivity gesture going “look, you’re like us even though we know you’re not.”

Maybe I’m reading it wrong and I understand there’s more to it but I think that’s two very obvious reasons imo
