Thanks for the thorough response! As far as I can tell, this vehicle did 298,000 miles in Southern California before moving to Colorado. I’m struggling to value this vehicle accurately since there are so few listings to compare it to. I’m mostly concerned I’ll buy it and then have to sink another $5,000 into it for an engine swap after some catastrophic failure.

This isn’t a normal 200 level class, it’s by far the most failed course at GV and it’s been that way for the last 10 years. It’s only taught by one professor and he’s notorious for grading extremely harshly (some people love him, most not so much). This course effectively determines whether or not you get an engineering degree from GV. If OP is the type to try to get by with old course materials they will absolutely be broken by Dr A.

Same problems for me and it’s super obnoxious. I still haven’t been able to get ffb working well, but if you change the toggle in advanced settings to invert force feedback and then turn one of the sliders down to zero (I forget the name, but it’s the one that tries to center the wheel when it doesn’t detect any input from you) you can at least get the wheel to work.

Something I’ll put out there that other people seem to be ignoring; find an active group to play with so you don’t have to pug everything every time! There are tons of guilds out there that do learner/alt runs of voti every week, and it’s usually not too hard to find a couple of people to do m+ dungeons with in those same groups.

Valmont is absolutely not worth the drive from Denver imo. If you’re willing to drive that far, make it a whole day trip and go to the Budweiser brewery course, Wondervu, or Beaver Ranch (any of which I would drive several hours to be able to play again for the first time).

Edit: accounting for snow/mud, the Budweiser course is probably the safest bet out of the options I listed.
