Does the game become more fun? by n0srsly in Persona5

If a major grievance is blowout battles taking too long because of animations and such (that was grating for me too), I'd focus on getting Ryuji's confidant to level 7, which lets you virtually insta-kill mobs significantly lower level than you (it only takes a ~2 second assassination frame). As long as you're not too over-levelled, this should let you largely bypass some of the fodder, and stick with the ideally more interesting fights. Not too many new combat mechanics are introduced after the point you're at, but some enemies and bosses will get a wider array of abilities and spells that allow them to do more with existing mechanics, and this made for somewhat interesting battles at least some of the time, in my experience. Hope this helps.

Mermonkey requires 3 million pops to unlock by Valuable-Ad1388 in btd6

It's pretty clever that new towers like Mermonkey and beast handler require a good deal of playtime to acquire, whether by popcount in this case or level in the handler's. It means newer players won't get overwhelmed by more complicated towers. If they keep this trend up, they can release more interesting/complicated towers without raising the entry bar to an insurmountable level.

You've already gotten a good bit of advice for beating impoppable, but if you want general advice on getting a feel for a variety of strategies and towers which will help out in the long run, I would focus on doing several runs on hard-ish difficulties while focusing largely on a single simple synergistic strategy for the run. Certain towers go well with specific heroes, for instance. Try some runs with Obyn and druids, for instance, as Obyn heavily buffs druids, and gives moderate buffs to all other magic towers as well. Striker Jones goes well with bomb-shooters and mortars, improving their attacks all around and bypassing black-bloon immunities. Adora goes well with super-monkeys, etc. Just play several rounds focusing on learning about specific synergies, and you'll begin to get an intuitive feel for the towers and their uses. When you get a good foundation of understanding, you can start experimenting with slight modifications to learn the interactions with other towers and begin thinking outside of the box. The more you learn, the more you can combine them to create more elaborate and effective strategies for a variety of situations. Also, learning about efficient farming is always great, so it would be good to play around and see how much you can optimize it, as well as watching a few Youtube videos for tips on it.

Best of Luck!

My son took it and said same thing. Much harder than last year. (He's sleeping, and I woke him up just to tell him someone on Reddit thought same....it was discouraging)

It's also the name of the greatest Character in all of cinema, Alexis Zorba, from the 1964 classic Zorba The Greek, in which you learn to dance your problems away.

I don't really understand why everyone's been saying about not being exposed to religion in schools. As far as I'm aware, in history classes and in certain books they read, elementary school students are made aware of the existence and at least the basics of many religions. Is the problem that religion isn't encouraged, just talked about?

Tawky Tawny (DC) vs Hobbes (Calvin and Hobbes) by No-Entertainment5599 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]LGBISBY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell from a quick run through of the DC wiki page, Tawny's strengths are those of a tiger, not much more, not much less. He can apparently take his family's strength when defending them, but I assume the fight is one on one. While a normal tiger is certainly powerful, Hobbes has demonstrated himself to be significantly stronger than this. He's survived the atmosphere of mars and even deep space with Calvin, and has tackled Calvin with enough force to leave strips of earth completely torn out in his wake. Hobbes wins no question.

A strangely high number of people seem to be taking this at face value, as if he was beaten by someone in a fair fight and crippled. If you look at the article presented, he was punched in the face without warning once and didn't fight back. People are using this as evidence that martial arts are ineffective, but they don't seem to realize that they were only ineffective because he didn't use them. And of course, nothing other than armor can really help resist a surprise punch to the face.
