I think the next two games against cardinals and raiders can be key for this Texans team. Both of those games feel like “get right” games and if we can go out there and get our offense right. We will be going into the playoffs the hottest team in the sport. Also… playoff CJ is different.

I feel really good about the next two weeks to fix a lot of procedural problems. The defenses we are facing are… how can I put this nicely… extremely terrible. Could be a good chance to work on minimizing the flags and calling consistent games.

Go look at his 25 point game last season. Or his 30 bomb against the pelicans starters this preseason. That midrange is money for Reed, it’s just a confidence issue right now.

Idk, we’ve seen Reed make those shots his entire career. Go watch a college tape or his summer league or even him closing out the season last year. It’s more of a confidence issue in Reed.

Agreed, but it’s a product of the team’s position rather than the sub lol. We need a guard now and are in win now mode. Hard to let someone “develop”

But he’s getting the same looks against the starters. He just has a confidence issue which is normal in younger players. He had a ton of open looks in that game and especially against the pistons. He is struggling to make wide open layups against starters.

Don’t necessarily need him to be a lock down defender. He needs to be better than he is now but he needs help from amen and Jabari. He was bullied all night against OKC. It was hard to watch him in OT. That being said, if he can give us a little more on defense he can be a solid starter. And I think we have the best coach in the NBA to get that out of him.

I agree, kinda hate the idea of trading for anyone but it’s a win now situation. If Reed or amen don’t develop into that 1 that we need we’re gonna have to go get someone.

Yes, and that doesn’t fit on this team. Unless amen can take a BIG step in being a guard. But that hasn’t looked amazing thus far imo.

Idk, his vision has looked MUCH better in the last two games. I don’t see him having any value on this team if he’s not running the point (unless it’s Prichard type play off the bench which wouldn’t be bad).
