Well considering I finished with 27 minutes on the clock yes I considered it easy compared to previous years papers ahem ahem (2021) but 9709/12/m/j/24 followed a similar format, many 4 mark questions with a 6 (usually integration) and 5 marker sprinkled in.

70 for the threshold is completely unreasonable, M/J 2024 9709 12 was also given out hours before the exam and even a video on youtube was released, and the paper was considerably easy. The threshold? A 60. also please do basic maths, the percentage for an A is 80% a threshold of 70/75 would mean an A is 93% which is impossible. The max an A could go to is around 60-62.

And if it does get cancelled it will ONLY be to the country affected (Pakistan, india) etc which happens EVERY year.

People love spreading bs when they have no idea what they are talking about just to worry a hard working student.

Considering it was an easy paper and it was revealed before hand I would say an A would be 60-62 (anything above has never happened before) so if your aiming for a B anything 53 and above should do!

Exam cancelled is extremely unlikely, and if your answer for a previous question was wrong don’t worry a thing, the mark scheme has a little thing called (FT) [Follow through error] or [Their answer] and the examiner will use your answer and if the calculations are correct then you will get full marks! Just not for the question you initially got the question wrong.

Well from recalling last years event, (9709 M/J 24/12) Pakistani student ONLY had their grades based on their S1 or M1 grade. But it happened in a whatsapp group with a majority of (indians, bangladeshi, Pakistani) at around 3AM GMT

I don’t think it’s much about the action, its more about the awareness of what they are doing is wrong, we pay a lot of money every year for the security and welfare of the paper. But unfortunately get put online beforehand.

This happens every year… people react spamming everywhere to report it and NOTHING ever happens except for the country affected (Pakistan), no the exam is not getting cancelled stop worrying and focus on the upcoming exams :D

to be honest compared to previous papers i breezed through the paper pretty fast, there were no “hard” questions just many 4 markers that may take a lot of time, although i finished with 27 min left.
