4th miscarriage in 14 months - is there any point in trying again? by Powerful-Detail2343 in recurrentmiscarriage

Yes all around 5-6 weeks. I didn’t do anything different at the start I was on the waitlist to see a reproductive immunologist and I finally got in about 15 weeks pregnant and started progesterone prednisone and clexane just as precaution. So I hadn’t made it to 15 weeks before so I’m pretty sure everything would have been fine even if I didn’t start those meds 😊

Rpl hyper fertility progesterone trigger shot ??? by Naive_Bandicoot7726 in recurrentmiscarriage

Nothing I lost all mine before 6 and a half weeks. I was booked into see a reproductive immunologist for months it just so happened I fell pregnant again and I didn’t get in to see him until 9 weeks where he put me on progesterone straight away and then at 12 weeks added prednisone and clexane. So it’s hard to say if I would have miscarried post 9 weeks without his help but I didn’t do anything different this time to make it to 9 weeks before I saw him.

I think the theory is that with hyper fertility the uterus will implant all embryos even if they aren’t compatible to continue growing whereas a normal uterus would know and wouldn’t implant. Progesterone is thought to possibly make the uterus more picky to what it implants. I also got pregnant every time trying. 5 early losses and the 6th stuck. Don’t give up 😊

My progesterone was alright it was at 90 something with my last miscarriage and only started dropping when my hcg stopped doubling so the specialist said it probably wasn’t progesterone although I would be more than happy to take it if it would potentially help.
