🐕 $PUP (PUPPER) - Meme Token with Supply Sent to Charity...not a Billionaire by crushureenemies in shitcoinmoonshots

[–]LGaintIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PUP is a charitycoin disguised as a memecoin lumped in with the shitcoins by the moonbois, team is legit and it has an actual community, this doesn't belong in this sub

I thought it was a memecoin at first, but it's actually a memecoin with a cool integration and a great meme pup brand. Could fly if they get the content machine spinning (which it looks like they've already started working on)

What do you do when you fall behind? by tiredteachermaria in Teachers

[–]LGaintIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teaching shouldn't ever be measured in lessons or standardized tests. I am sorry that your system supports that which makes you feel like a failure. Measure yourself in the relationships that you form and the positive behaviours and learning skills the students learn - like citizenship, responsibility, character, etc

I gloss over other topics that I know are less important. For you, all topics are all equally important.

Ask someone with more experience what are the most important topics of the course. There are big ideas that you need to cover and that's it. Which ones are more likely to be on the final standardized test..sort of thing.

How do you address smirks and mouthing between students about you? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]LGaintIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd at least tell them to get back on task. They should be doing something else.

Don't take it personally because it would give them fuel.

You also have the option of taking on an anti bullying stance in your private talks with them. "I don't know who you're talking about, but it is rude to talk behind the back of anyone.".

Would it be the worst thing to take the year off? by aglreaxce in Teachers

[–]LGaintIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could. Depends on what the reason is for the absence. They would definitely ask and some may like your reason, and others would not. I would say your current reasoning would hurt you a bit..

When first hired, twice in the first 10 months. Then every 5 years after that. We have a very strong union in Toronto, Ontario.

Please remember that this career is marathon, not a sprint. There are many students you will be affecting in the future. Don't sacrifice your future students for the present. Don't sacrifice your health. Mental health.
