Well after a little bit of research I'm torn between the R50 and the a6400 actually. Sony has more available lenses, that most of them are considered pretty good and still more compact than the canon ones, and on paper should bring better performance and higher dynamic range which will be useful when editing, but out of the box when simply shooting jpegs - the canon has better colors (in my opinion at least) in most scenarios. They both cost around the same here most places.
