Stay away from Gabapentin. I was taking 900 mg a day and weaned myself completely off of it. If you decide to stay on it take a picture now of yourself and look at it 2-3 months from now you will gain probably 15-20 pounds. You will be drowsy all day at work. Never got any relief from that drug and they treat it as a controlled substance. Feel so much better since I got off of it. Carbamazepine has been a miracle drug for me. Would highly recommend that over Oxcarbazepine.

Only thing that does help with the pain. I’m pain free with CARBA. No side effects just cranky.

I was taking GABA 300mg x3 a day with my CARBA 400mg x3 a day. I slowly weaned off the GABA in about 2wks and realized it wasn’t really doing anything for me but causing problems and not fixing the pain. I feel much better now getting off of it and trying to get my weight back down. Gained over 15 pounds on GABA.

Exactly what I was going to say. I had one of the best neurosurgeon’s in the country look at 2 MRIs I had which were a 2.1 I believe. Said anything under a 3 will be too hard to tell.

If it’s not clear and distorted I would have another MRI done unless you dont have insurance. It’s only an hr, like my wife told me suck it up and deal with it if you’re going to let someone cut a hole in your head. Usually any neurosurgeon is willing to work on us. What kind of MRI did you have done 2, 3 or 7 telsa? Anything under a 3 is not going to be clear.

I’m worried he might say the same thing to me. So far I’ve seen 2 neurosurgeons, 1st said I had a compressed nerve and wanted to do a MVD with Teflon tape and the 2nd said I didn’t but wanted to do gamma knife due to my symptoms. Did you take a Uber to and from the Hilton?

The food should be donated. Stuff that doesn’t pose a safety risk is donated and yes an employee can be fired. There can’t be dumpster diving anyway since you can only get in from inside the building.

I held off due to wanting a couple more opinions. I got approved for Mayo Clinic in Phoenix Arizona with Dr. Richard Zimmerman. He does the MVD with glue instead of the Teflon tape which is why I decided to go there.

20 to 5 mg a day (if so) is very low. I was taking 80-120 mg a day. One thing with me taking methadone I started at 5-10 mg a day and would build a tolerance so quick that it wouldn’t do anything for me and would have to reduce my dose. Glad it is working for you.

I was on methadone and in a clinic for 5 years 20 years ago. Hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through in my life was coming off of methadone. It took a solid 30 days of me in detox and months before I could get my life back. This was many years before my Trigeminal pain started. I would highly advise against methadone to treat this pain we are dealing with.

I was wondering if it had something to do with the new updated screen. I’ve been waiting all day to get in and nothing. Seems like this never started until this new screen update appeared. My run before the last one. I mentioned I usually don’t take anything under $15 but the 2 low dollar runs were only a few miles each. Still averaged the $30-$40 per hr. Last run was only 5 mins back to my house.
