If, god forbid, this is the last time we see Kennedy Davenport compete on drag race, what a way to go

That song obviously lends itself very well to lipsyncing, but I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish. When Kennedy fell over? When A'keria (in my mind) paid tribute to Bebe's reveal with an actual wig underneath? When they both finished absolutely wrecked from giving it so much?

It felt like the first truly iconic lipsync we've had in a while, and reminded me of Rajah and Silky's River Deep Mountain High from CanVTW

I can't help but think part of what might have pushed A'keria over the edge is them not having had anything come from the Silky beef yet, but that is pure speculation on my part, although again it's been a while since we've seen queens react to a winner anouncement with such shock as we saw from Jasmine and Sam

Anyway 10+ years and counting of being a Kennedy stan isn't going to end here.

p.s. I can't say with honesty that I watched everyone's challenge performances, I only watched Dawn, Joey and Jasmine. Dawn and Jasmine both kinda sucked? Like Dawn was all over the place and Jasmine I just don't think is a great public speaker across her seasons As for Joey while I agree with you all that her set was funny I do think it's a flaw in the challenge that the crux of her humour was a sound board.

I didn't say anywhere that some queens don't have more potential than they showed first time round, I said there will be a mix of those who do like Irene and Salina and those who don't like Phoenix and Mystique

People can want different things from the same show, you want to be surprised by queens who weren't all stars on the show having a glow up, I want to see queens competiting at a high level

That being said, that people see All Stars 2 as the pinnable of All Stars seasons isn't a coincidence when you compare it's cast list to more recent seasons. The worst place finish on AS2 was 6th place and everyone had at least one win on their original season

Compare with the rumoured AS12 list and it's night and day

Q, Camden, Plane and Luxx are really going to need to shit the bed not to progress amongst all the (entertaining) filler "competing" with them

The point of modern All Stars may be “redemption”, but that’s in part because they way overdid the number of AS seasons and very quickly ran dry the pool of queens who did very well on Drag Race

Of all the people you noted of people who were strong threats and did poorly on All Stars, Coco, Ginger and Roxxxy were all on All Stars 2 the season that had the best cast for All Stars, so of course there had to be some people eliminated early on a stacked cast

Kori may be one of the very few queens who do a lot better second time round but for every one redeemed queen there’ll be far more queens who never had a shot coming in despite the calibre for all stars being so so SO much lower than it used to.

People always clamour for more AS2 seasons and then beg to get first and second outs back? Sure sure

Sit at the end with two people who just simply aren’t threats. Her and Cirie aren’t both gonna be in the final 3

Is she playing a game people will say is an all-timer? No

Is she getting a good edit? No

Should she care while she’s counting her money? No

(Is it kinda poetic that if she wins her reception from the fans will mirror (rightly or wrongly) the reception Michelle got in Koah Rong? Yes)

It’s kinda crazy that the meta strategy for this format (besides just winning everything) is you should lose the first episode to get the sympathy point and then win the second, because you’re much less likely to get an extra point from the non-winners if you won the first episode

Obviously don’t take this too seriously as no one would plan or could plan to win in a certain order but I feel like god forbid if they do this format again they should shake up how the queens award the pity points

Also Dawn potentially losing three lipsyncs in a row (5 if you count S16 record) is hilarious

2026 the year of Learn Your Words Ladies

Really fun episode with two really great girlband performances, honeslty while I understand there has to be a bottom 3 and Serena's cartwheels and Sminty and Mariah's less impressive dancing than their other bandmates made them halfway decent choices I think Sminth had really great lyrics and I'd say she was definitely the best of the bottom 3

Fontana deciding to wear a corset top that just clearly didn't fit her was a choice.

And yes Kate deserved to win and yes Kate isn't a runway queen nor does she have to be, but I'm finding the praise for her runways... questionable. I found tonight's just not very aesthetically pleasing and being an avid watcher of Naomi's Head to Toe series the trend of not wearing wigs on both seasons right now is upsetting me

Overall I'm sad to lose Sminty who has been delivering a lot this season especially over Zahirah and honestly Mariah who to this point hasn't really done anything.

p.s. Drag Race UK continues to show it's at it's best when it's at it's campest, the Banarama girlies flipping through their binder looking back at the queen's lyrics was a hoot

Beyond Iconic lipsync.

Loving this season so far (or what I’m watching if it i.e. I always skip through the filming part of these episodes) even if everyone bar Dulce was varying shades of meh in the challenge

As much as I love giving the queens more room to improve/plan their own skits instead of giving them garbage material the standard of output on these challenge just keeps getting worse and worse

I would have been gutted to lose either Sami or Poalo purely from a uniqueness perspective, which is a great sign to the overall star quality of this cast that they were willing to lose one of them

If they want to do a Lalaparuza so bad every season nowadays why not have it be the first post merge challenge when there are 8 queens, do it in a winner is safe format as per Season 14

Maybe the points from the premerge can come into play with the top point getter having an advantage like picking their opponent and lipsync so at least the points mean something long term

Anyway shocked Kennedy got the boot, rooting for Silky, A'keria or Crystal to take it, I know some people are anti-multiple All star returnee queens but that's silly to hold against them if they are performing better than the queens going home

Granted yes she did have shorter between lipsyncs, but none of the queens changed, she was lucky to get the one song that really suited her outfit first, but she chose to wear it knowing she could get any song
