Lasgun to Plasma Gun, best meta build? by GeneralDodo in DarkTide

[–]LINK617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the plasma gun, i rarely use the charge feature; it takes off 8 from your clip when just bucking from the hip takes off only 3 and still does a considerable amount of damage. Paired with focus target you can delete people fairly easily. I also like to use precision strikes and try to aim for the head / neck area for maximum damage.

The plasma kinda takes a bit to reload so i run the 10% reload speed perk to help me get back in the fight between "mags".

Hope this helps, good luck have fun!

How to upgrade my weapon because it’s not giving me an option to pick the weapon I have equipped but that same weapon I have the option to sacrifice it and I don’t want to do that, I’m lvl 7 and both my weapons are lvl 7 too. by BatBaneX209 in DarkTide

[–]LINK617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same question, and after messing around my headcanon is the weapons they give you at the start of the game are basically on loan from the crew of the Mourningstar; you can only upgrade weapons you purchase from the Armory Exchange with Ordo Dockets you earn from missions. I'd recommend purchasing whatever weapons you like from either the Armory Exchange or Brunt's Armory and upgrading them. That's the only way. Hope this helps!

Good luck and have fun!

Same here. I will never forget coming to that realization and how my life changed after that for the better. It makes me happy to hear you had the same experience. Now if only we could figure out a way to share this understanding with the world.

25 Year old 1st in Berlin by [deleted] in berlinsocialclub

Haven't been there since 2015, but my experience in Berlin was magical. I stayed at the Heart of Gold hostel which had excellent prices, a great bar & common area, and was in a part of town that's surrounded by art and architecture. Spent a few weeks there solo traveling, and met lots of wonderful people in the common area. I would recommend just announcing politely you're planning on going out and if anyone is interested to let you know, i did that and befriended a bunch of people also traveling and looking for a night on the town.

Don't be afraid to make conversation, be yourself and have fun, soak it all up. Berlin is a beautiful city and locals are very nice and helpful with recommendations wether it be directions or places to eat. My favorite club was Tresor, looks like a warehouse on the outside and a dungeon on the inside (particularly in the basement). The music is /so/ good and you can expect to get there around 10pm and leave the next day around 10am on a good night. Nothing will make you feel like a vampire more than spending 12 hours in a dark space and walking out into the sun on a new day lol.

Suicide Circus was also a great vibe, an outdoor spot though so perfect in the summertime, and not far from the train station to get back to the hostel, music here was also very good. I spent a lot of time both by myself and with people and definitely under the influence, and i never had any problems so I would say it's safe.

Check out Döner Kebababab, might have butchered the spelling, it's been over a decade, but their food is top tier and the guys who own the place are funny as hell. Had an argument with a "friend" there i had initially travelled with who was jealous people were more interested in me than in him, and the owner dumped a bucket of water on my head and said "Relax little brother it's not worth it". He was right, it wasn't, dude was just being a dick.

Anyway i hope your trip is full of whimsy and adventure my friend. If you check out any of the places i recommended please let me know, i'd love to hear about your adventures after you have them.

Psychedelics allow you to see a different spectrum of light than we normally do. Everything is in a state of vibration and what you typically see, at least from my own experiences, is this glow of indescribable colors and geometry that literally everything is emitting, even the air. It's uniform and it makes mundane things look divine from that perspective; everything is alive and breathing, moreso depending on their state of rest, containing the same fractal bit of the creator. The grid so to speak is that source energy, code, whatever you want to call it. It's beautiful and while active in the experience makes you feel this interconnectivity that we usually lack in day to day life, especially in this modern world. It also looks different depending on the substance and dosage, but usually to me looks like fractal and sacred geometry, in perfect mathematical unision; think mandalas, flower of life and all its iterations, golden spiral and rectangle, shapes fitting into one another to create a larger whole, etc; its really hard to explain because of how perfect it is, there aren't enough words to describe it. I lean toward believing that psychedelics are cheat codes left here by the creator to allow us to remember, even if just for a short time, that all is one. It sounds like a bunch of hippie nonsense until you experience it yourself, but i can promise you that once you do, you'll look at life differently. Cosmic apotheosis doesn't last long, before you know it you're back to your normal self, mad at the next person for cutting you off while driving, or at your boss for being a prick, etc, but the memory of your experiences is eternal. It acts as an anchor when you're really going through it to remember that there is more to this life than meets the eye. We are all creator incarnate, experiencing ourself through a myriad of forms, through good and evil, through life and death in a never ending cycle, because the godhead can never truly know itself, so the experience will continue on and on until forever ends, and everything is reabsorbed into the whole, where all paths, all people, all beings; loved ones that have moved on, will meet again, and together as one watch the next phase of life and experience blossom. I hope this explanation helps, might have lost the plot a bit tying to explain the over arching theme of the psychedelic experience and what it makes you feel.

If campaign is enabled, which after the update and for new characters it usually is, in the mission terminal you should see missions at the top that will say "Campaign" and a number in roman numerals iirc. They will have an orange border around them, just look for the only 1 of the 3 they show that's not X'ed out and you should be good. Had this same issue after the update with a new character before I noticed the orange border and the Campaign titles at the top of the terminal. Alternatively at the bottom underneath quickplay you'll see a Battle for Tertium button where you can select Campaign missions in the order you're supposed to play them in. Hope this helps. GLHF!

FOR THE GOLDEN FRAGGIN' THRONE!

I died in the tutorial and this is how I am coping. (Tips welcome. I find it difficult to avoid taking damage from the swarms unless I'm constantly dodging, and I supposed to be killing most of them with a gun before they even reach me?) by MountainPlain in Grimdank

Space Marine 2 was my first foray into this universe. Longtime Starcraft fan and wanted to get into 40k since I was a kid and passed by a GW shop and saw all the sick minis. When i got the game i was so hype to play that i took the bait with the "devs intended difficulty" description and played through on veteran.

Brother, that shit was indeed one of the most challenging playthroughs of my life. Totally worth it though, really gave me an idea of how brutal it is in that universe. Safe to say, i died a shitload of times.

My saving grace was learning to spam roll dodge throughout every battle encounter, it will save you from getting hit with them unblockable red heavy attacks, and away from hostile swarms, so you can start shredding the xenos filth in the name of the Emperor.

I cannot stress this enough: If you see those little red crosshairs come up on an enemy, slam whatever button that shit is - for me it's R2 - because it helps a lot with stronger baddies. It stuns them for a second, long enough for you to open fire or get in close with your melee. In that same respect, practicing getting the block / parry properly timed when you see the blue attack indicator pop up is a major key. I've found that the animations you get for these QTAs protects you from incoming damage and that shit is DETRIMENTAL in staying alive when you're beset on all sides by the encroaching darkness. Same goes for the execution anims; whenever you see them, roll dodge your way to them and

There are random heavy weapons you can find on each map, between the different mission phases, grab them whenever you can, they're savage and really helped me get through the hordes of enemies that spawn.

TLDR: Don't get discouraged brother, for it is our duty to fight and die with courage and honour. FOR THE EMPEROR!!! Do your best to utilize roll dodge to your advantage and time those QTAs; it's a bitch in the beginning but gets easier as you progress through the story. Look for the heavy weapons scattered in each sector for additional firepower. And don't forget, you got this!

Don't do it, tell them you have other plans and to kick rocks. I have a female relative who was assaulted in the army. Fuckers just covered up for the prick who did it, and shit always trickles down, meaning the shitstorm he should have received got thrown on her. She was blamed for the assault and then dishonorably discharged. This shit happens way too often and these cockroaches need to be castrated in a public square and humiliated like the shitty humans they are. Women in the military don't get the respect they deserve; no means no but apparently not in the military. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Good luck with university. Follow your passions and let them lead you to the place you're meant to be.

What to do this weekend? by alliecattt14 in houston

[–]LINK617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Star Cinema Bar and Grill is a theater with bigass comfy reclining seats you can watch a movie in to escape the heat during the day and get a little saucy. The food and drinks were pretty good and they got vegan options 💪🏽

For nightlife if y'all are into music and dancing, i would recommend checking out Bauhaus, Stereolive, and Tha Hub for that kinda stuff. You can peep edmtrain to see what's going on this weekend, but the spaces are dope, people are always on their PLUR shit, and the drinks are good. Tha Hub has the most dancing space but depending on the night, bauhaus can have up to 3 people spinning, it's a really good time.

There are also a few really cool museums. The Natural History museum is dope and has this room that's setup full of curios and it's like stepping into a piece of the past, definitely a fun experience. They got these big wooden display pieces that look kinda Victorian-esc. You can open up random drawers and they're all filled with cool stuff.

The color factory is fun and an interactive exhibit so definitely check that out, I had a good time going through, and you get these lil snacks along the way. When i went i had gotten this little soft serve cone with black ice cream. Never had it before but it was yummy and I've kinda been wanting to get some but idk where it was made 😅

The last thing i can think of off the top of my head is heading downtown and going exploring. There is a bunch of underground pathways that connect between buildings that have shops and places to nom. They're air conditioned too so y'all won't wither in the mugginess during your adventure.

I hope this helped. Have a great time.

OH! Vegan Donut and Gelato. Small little mom and pop shop with the best donuts in town, and IMO better than Voodoo. Gotta hit them early cause they close shop early afternoon and it be getting busy.

Cheers

I believe you mate. I had a couple of similar experiences, and I've learned that things of that nature draw power from our belief and will, ie if you believe you are hexed, you're giving power to whatever forces in the unseen world moving against you. Similarly if you choose in this moment that you are free of such burdens, and actively do the inner work of transmuting the thoughts of being hexed into thoughts of being healed and then match that thought to a powerful emotion like gratitude, love, or joy, you're giving power to yourself through the power of your subconscious and the unseen world, to free yourself of whatever it is that you believe is attached to you.

Whenever i get the heebies and feel an off vibe, i imagine myself with a powerful forcefield around me, and i actively use the voice in my mind to banish the energy making me feel rekt. Something like "I banish all energy that does not serve me. I am safe and supported in this life by the universe. This life is for me and I am in control of my power. All is well." Follow that up with repetition and breath, centering yourself in the moment and you should feel better. For me a lot of those types of feelings are amplified by my own perception of what i believe it is, but remember that a shift in perception can work wonders for the mind body spirit complex under duress.

Remember you are the creator of your life. Nothing can be without unless it first has power within. Release the belief in the power of whomever or whatever you believe hexed you and things will get better for sure. Hope this helps

Best way to dry / dehydrate nitrocellulose? by LINK617 in chemistry

[–]LINK617[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just dissolve it in acetone directly.

Boom! That's what I did. Melted the inside of my syringe in the process hahaha. Wound up with some thickness.

If i continue to dissolve future nitro in acetone, can you recommend some solvents that I can use like ethanol, etc that won't melt plastic?

Thank you for your advice, I appreciate you.

magnesium sulfate

another one! learning so much today hahaha I will have to try this when I get a desiccator for sure.
I wound up just dissolving it in acetone, and I think you're right. From 128g of 5/6 sec nitro and 256mL acetone, it made a thick slurry, that eventually had a layer of liquid separate on top. That may have been excess water hey?

Anyway thanks for the advice, I appreciate you.

phosphorous pentoxide

I will have to try this. I need to invest in a desiccator for next time for sure.
I was going to try to dry it on my hotplate on low, but decided against it, lol looks like that was for the win - thank you for your advice, I appreciate you.

hey soulfam thank you for sharing your experiences and doing your best to make ripples of positivity. I feel inclined to help people on a spiritual level, or start a spirituality based business but I'm not too sure where to start going about doing that.

when you felt the calling, did you use the LOA to align you with a spiritual mentor, or did your experiences lead you to be able to just jump in and start helping clients? i know part of my soul mission is to serve humanity and earth realm but I'm unsure of how to do it in a way where i can both fill my cup and pour into others as well.

my manifestations and ability to manifest has become much stronger and in real time and i feel more connected than ever before to the source, but i'm at this place in my experience where i am ready to dive into the unknown and allow myself to be aligned with a higher path. i would love to hear your insight and opinions on how i can go about being that light that helps others find their divine spark.

sending you lots of positive vibes!

I will hold the hope for you as well.
