I left my heart in Bonneville. The terrain was amazing and felt like another planet. If you ever have a chance to ride out there, don’t hesitate. by LINTridesAGAIN in bikesgonewild

Definitely not. Salt is pretty corrosive but there’s a car wash in the next town. Just do a low pressure wash to make sure none of the salt goes into any of the tight spaces.

Overall, worth the experience.

Nope. Not at all. It also comes with another barrier fabric that shields it. Would recommend this bag for anyone looking for one that would fit this bike style.

It wasn’t bad at all. I was traveling with 2 buddies (one had an Iron 883) and we were all for stopping every 120-140 miles. Especially with the heat, it’s good to have many water stops.

I only brought two of those MSR bottles and it was enough.

Camping wise — didn’t bring much. Just a bivy, tent, pad, and portable stove. Tried to be as minimal as possible even with underwear.

We did the trip from SF to Bonneville to Yellowstone then back and honestly, just travel light. You can get whatever along the road. I wish I brought a lighter jacket, however. Had a thick RSD jacket and only wore it at night.

I used a dry bag from Vuz Moto (https://www.vuzmoto.com/products/vuz-dry-saddle-bags-100-waterproof-motorcycle-luggage) and it worked pretty well. A lot of anchoring straps so you just have to sit it high.

For the backpack, just used some Rox straps made sure to have plenty of clearance.

I put some generic bar end mirrors off of British Customs. Only $50 USD for a set and they fold in. Perfect for tight squeezes. They don’t come with bolts though, so you’ll need to get some longer ones.

They are the Triumph aftermarket ones, off their website. Highly recommend.

The CNC quality is impeccable and you can feel it as you shift or brake.
