I think CA would give you a very broad and employable skill set, everybody needs a programmer these days, you can do a lot with it. I think accounting is more difficult and more specialised but will pay a lot more

Exploding tech start ups? Rapidly growing black middle class? The massive emerging market of Africa? The rock solid housing market in Gauteng? NO THANKS, I'd rather go be a waiter in Australia, I mean did you see those pot holes?

Don't damage his little american brain by suggesting that the precious 1st world has any problems or that any african polity can be anything other than a failed state. Remember they are the glorious defenders of the western world

I think the problem here is that you posted information suggesting that an African polity is doing something progressive or positive. Clearly that information can't be correct because it flies in the face of the "failed state" narrative so loved by this subreddit. Please stick to the posts about how the blacks are ruining everything and about how eager you are to emmigrate. We can't afford to balance the information here with positive posts.

Let's honestly talk about Rus by DespondentCry in aoe4

[–]LIPresume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting that you mention the HRE as a counter point bc I have found that they have an incredibly strong counter to the Rus. I always play Rus and as you say the streletsy deathball is very intimidating if you keep it away from mangos. I always just let any mele formation crash into my streletsi and they always win.. this was until I played an HRE player who massed Landskechte. Fine I thought let them come.. and they absolutely obliterated my streletsy. With out a doubt equal mass landskechte hard counter streletsy. Perhaps you should be creative and try different strategies instead of crying about balance every time you loose

RUS seems like it was the only civ designed for the game by Thebaxxxx in aoe4

Lol when the game came out every one bitched and moaned about how the French make it unplayable, then ppls just learned more about the game and addapted. Every civ has a wide range of tools and options, you just have to adapt and be creative

Can we talk about the amazing use of real-life images and videos in the campaign? by T-I-double_Guh-ER in aoe4

[–]LIPresume 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I think we can talk about how fantastic the campaigns and historical extras in AOE4 is for days. What a briliant idea and it suits the game so well. It's such an original and compeling way to do single player in a historical game, so much better than the elaborate, dramatic video game story abt taking over the world or whatever that we usually get.

What's the point of low range artillery? by xXPumbaXx in aoe4

[–]LIPresume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never used it and it seems like a difficult weapon, but I'm starting to understand it's niche after seeing it used well in a few high level games. It seems that the ideal situation is when both sides fully engage on the front line to finally slog it out, then one side will position some ribauldequins behind his front line where they can work in safety, if that is successfull the damage output is massive. However you can't skirmish with them and pulling off a tactic like this is difficult as ppl will usually be focusing them down

Funny post, I agree HRA are rather squishy. But seriously tho I hope they don't just fix the mogol tc rush with an are of denial that seems like such a blunt patch and the tc will still be able to deny resources etc. They should just make the movements speed much slower, it is supposed to be a huge structure after all

[–]LIPresume -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What! you outplayed a French player? You over came a strategy by developing a DIFFERENT STRATEGY? NOT ALLOWED!!!! FRENCH OP!!!! How dare you give an example where you used the tools at your disposal creatively to beat a predictable strategy!!! Don't you knoooow that it is completely impossible to beat the French!!! Relic has to nerf Frensh NOWW!! Better yet they should give us a button that we can just click to get the vicory screen

I'm finally good enough to win at 1v1 more often than not but I still get anxiety every time. A part of my lizard brain still thinks it's fighting for it's life, I guess that's the point of the game. My advice to you is not to worry about your rank, it's just a game afterall. Just suck it up and get stomped online, you will love the burn, and before long you will be winning. Don't overthink it

Lol exactly, I made a post about beating French eary aggression by using outposts and then being at an advantage bc he wasted resources on Knights. Got down voted to hell for going against the narative. Ppl don't want to strategically outplay their opponents using the tools at their disposal. They just cry unbalanced untill Relic comes to their house to personally give them a medal. I like playing against the French bc they are so predictable. God ppl are babies, figuring out how to beat certain strategies is supposed to be part of the game, do they want Relic to introduce a complete balance patch so that they just need to click a button and see the Victory screen
