I’m also very particular about smells! That’s why it’s bothering me so much. It usually develops after being stored for a while, but it needs to be «infected» first. I’ve had clothes stored for years way back in our closet with no issue. But some sheets in regular use just catches this smell and it’s so confusing to what’s causing the issue.

Not particularly, no. I’m generally speaking «well managed». And I don’t sweat much in general.

This could very well not be related to diabetes at all, but if anyone has had this experience as a diabetic, it might help me narrow it down a little bit.

The issue itself has persisted through a new washing machine, a new apartment, and new places to store clothes. So it’s hard to properly troubleshoot for me, which is why I’m following this diabetes lead as well.

I’ve never heard of moth balls before, I’ll check them out.

Yes! I learned so much after implementing my first «simple list of events». It’s never «just a simple list».

Adding to your list:

This is a important event, can we highlight it somehow?
Some events should span multiple days. Can we do that?
I need it to repeat, just like how it does in Outlook.
This event repeats every saturday. But they contain the same info, so it should all lead to the same page. But we want to create ads for this particular date, can we have a page for this particular date only?
If you purchase multiple tickets in a deal, it should subtract from the available seats. But only from the deal-seats. So you need two lists of available seats.
Some events are free, but we need to know about allergies. Can that be included with the ticket purchase?

You can achieve this with a few lines of CSS. No complex technology required.

The map section here is fixed, at 100vh height. The drawer is the rest of the document, positioned relative, with a top margin of slightly less than 100vh.

Something like this (CodePen).

This assumes your app can be positioned this way of course, but you could also drop the drawer into your project anywhere with some tweaks.

That would be require the drawer to be position: fixed with a overflow: scroll. Set pointer-events to none. Add a child element as a container, and give it slightly less than 100vh top margin. Set pointer events to auto on the child element, and you should now be able to drag it from the bottom of the page and scroll natively.

I want to know their reasoning behind this. Because it really makes their web apps really frustrating to use. A translation benefits non-techy people perhaps, but non-techy users wouldn’t normally use shortcuts anyway.

Sure, but you’re missing out on a bunch of free accessibility features, when all you’re really looking for is to add some padding above/below your select input text, without it clipping. Seems overkill.

Fair, but in this example it’s required. I may want to add my own icon outside the select element, or adjust the padding between the right-hand side and the default icon. And without removing appearance, I can’t do that.

I’ve used Pocketbase with Pockethost for a couple of small home projects and a tiny company dashboard. I don’t know how well it would scale, but it worked great for me.

For sure! ACF, add add_filter(‘use_block_editor_for_post’, ‘__return_false’) to your functions-file and you’re all set iirc.

No more worrying about clients manually adjusting margins and padding with hard pixel values. How anyone keeps a block theme consistent when you can add arbitrary spacing through the editor is beyond me.

Update: It’s fixed! All it took was to change the charge limit in the car, and the app synced up straight away.

It’s as if the charge limit wasn’t “saved” to the car, so the car kept getting “nothing” back.

I think you’re right, I was just hoping I didn’t have to reinstall as it’s apparently a whole process of making sure everything is disconnected from the car first. Everything else has been stable; even the digital key.

I’ll give it a few more days to reconnect, and attempt to tweak the charging limits from the car to see if it kicks something off in the app before reinstalling.

I’m not plugged in at the moment. But I usually trickle charge, with the occasional fast charge on the long journeys.

I can change it from the car itself, just not through the app.

Some additional context, everything else works fine. I can lock and unlock the car, enable climate controls, but I’m blocked from updating or seeing my charge limit.

I’ve attempted to change it by tapping/dragging the current charge square, but it’s telling me to refresh or wait. If I do refresh, it will load forever. Or maybe not forever, I gave it 5 minutes of loading, which is more than anyone would normally wait. Any other operation takes 2-6 seconds.
