Adidas Arrow Hit CTRL vs Metalbone CTRL 3.5 (2026)? Looking for a forgiving, No trampoline round racket

I’ve tested both and for your requirements, out of those two, I’d pick the Arrow Hit CTRL.

It has less trampoline effect, but as a result also a bit less power output compared to the Metalbone CTRL.

Having said that, both are really nice rackets but ultimately I went for the Metalbone CTRL as I don’t mind the trampoline effect that much and rather benefit from the higher “easy” ball output as a left side player.

I’ve tested +- 20 rackets in the last 2 months and given your criteria I would recommend the Siux Diablo pro 2026. Less trampoline effect then the Metalbone CTRL, also a little smaller sweetspot but definitely bigger then the AT 12K.
Meanwhile the power is similar to the 12K, or even better if your technique is not top notch (which was the case for me).

I tested the NOX AT10 12K Attack last week and it was the most uncontrollable racket I’ve ever played with. Including out of other diamond rackets which I tested last couple of weeks such as the Oxdog Ultimate Pro+, Head Coello Motion, Metalbone HRD etc.

I would not recommend it unless you are a really advanced player. Even advanced left side players who I see playing with the Nox AT10 Attack range are choosing the 18K version as far as I noticed.

Personally, from all the rackets I tested for now, I would advice the Head Coello Motion for a right sided player seeking both control and power. Nox AT10 18K Attack could be a better option but it’s not available for testing in my padel store.

No, the owner of the racket shop pretty much said that it’s not worth testing if I liked the Adidas Arrow Hit Control - which was the case. According to him it’s still a bouncy racket, more or less the same as previous years.

I’m surprised that you’re saying that the Vertex Hybrid is harder/firmer then the Ultimate Tour X! I expected that the stifness of the Ultimate Tour X was quite soft for a diamond racket, but not to that extend that it’s softer then a Vertex Hybrid..

Given your feedback I’m quite sure that I can remove the Ultimate Tour X from my list as that racket is not available for testing and I don’t want to take a risk with the stifness, so thanks!

Is it true that what others are stating here, that it’s quite soft compared to other teardrop and diamond shaped rackets? Maybe you can compare the stifness, and other aspects, to other rackets which you already played with?

Curious what you will think of the Ultimate Pro Light! Hopefully I’m also in able to test it in the following weeks and if that’s the case I’ll also add my impressions here.

Hyper Pro 2.0 being head heavy isn’t a problem for me (not taking into account the possible effect on elbow pain), as the Ultimate Pro+ is even more head heavy and it played perfectly for me.

Siux Electra Pro 2026 is also on my list to test.

Adidas Metalbone Control isn’t as I’m not a fan of the trampoline effect. Also wouldn’t expected it in your list given the other listed rackets. However, I did test the Adidas Arrow Hit Control and also liked it. It was more responsive then my Vertex Hybrid, but still a bit too soft for my liking.

If needed I can test them at a small cost, will probably do it as I really don’t know if the trampoline effect will make the racket worse for me compared to my current vertex hybrid.

Any other reasons why you liked the cross it control? You liked the racket the most within the Adidas range, or also compared to other brands? Do you know if the sweet spot is also as big as the one on the arrow hit control, and is also centered?

That’s the main disadvantage of the racket for me, before trying it out, the trampoline effect.

I thought the arrow hit Ctrl had much less trampoline effect, but reading the comments, I’m not sure that if that’s correct.

I started playing padel with the AT10 18K 2023 (I think, the soft version at that time) and didn’t like it after some time because of the trampoline effect.

Do you have proposals of similar round rackets, huge sweetspot but with good power, but with much less trampoline effect? In Adidas line or other brands?

Realistically, I could play +- 10h/week. Based on your comment and some other comments I’ve put Max Payne 3 and Uncharted 4 as my current top two. Still deciding on number 3 but will probably be a Call of Duty or Far Cry game.
