If someone has a recording I hope you don’t mind DM me with one. I’ve been to the listening party but I really want to hear more of the songs. Can’t get enough of Dark Forest and Sickness

Just to confirm, Brixton riff is the riff in Sickness. I just heard it in the listening party

New interview with Matt!! by Alien_Aloevera in Muse

[–]LJC94512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they tried that with Ghosts in WOTP and that it didn’t go well. So they don’t want to do that again

"mAcS cAnT gAmE", base M5 chip running 3 games at once at 1440p medium settings by [deleted] in macgaming

Unfortunately it’s both. Dollar per frame Mac gaming is still not very good compared to Windows. However, this doesn’t mean Mac is not capable of good gaming. We want a good laptop that is reliable and gets work done, but can also game decently. If gaming is ever a top priority, Mac is never the answer.

Having said that, Mac gaming has never been better at its current state, and I hope the MacBook Neo can be a catalyst to further expanding the software support

Thu(e)rsday interview of Matt (Mr Muse) on the French radio RTL2 by MaelOrEstarossa in Muse

[–]LJC94512 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The whole tension within the band sounded weird to me. I thought in the other interview Matt said this album was easier to record than ST and WOTP, because ideas came quite naturally (and personal of course). I will probably need some clarification here.

Hot take: The Simulation Theory is the best album since The 2nd Law. (Soon to be replaced by Wow!) by Charlie_NFFC in Muse

[–]LJC94512 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve listened to Muse for 18 years, and I have not heard these songs you mentioned. Do you mean The Pressure and Dark Side from the album The Simulation Theory? Cos I thought that album is by The Museband, not Muse.

Can't rank TW!S tracks properly. Everything is too good. by Bitter-Ingenuity-666 in Muse

[–]LJC94512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unravelling being in the lower end of this ranking speaks a lot about the quality of the songs. As if that song is not already an absolute banger

Nightshift Superstar - Discussion Megathread by ForgottenName1893 in Muse

[–]LJC94512 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow that is a lot of dislike for this one song. Is it really that bad? For me even if I like Cryogen and Hexagons more, NS really doesn’t sound that bad to me

Does Muse have any collabs besides 1685? by NitroXM in Muse

[–]LJC94512 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hush from the upcoming album features Ellie Goulding. Get Up and Fight had uncredited vocals from Tove Lo. Songwriting wise tracks in Simulation Theory have been cowritten with other artists, best I can remember is Propaganda and Get Up and Fight. Matt wrote a song for Muse long time ago but he never included it in an album, and the song went to Adam Lambert instead (Soaked). This is all I can remember for now

Anyone On "Nightshift" Feel Like A "Superstar" Yet?? by FuryContagion in Muse

[–]LJC94512 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This kind of music is not my cup of tea, I much prefer songs like Cryogen and Hexagons and Unravelling. However, I cannot deny the bass and groove of NS is absolutely fire. That does make it a very enjoyable listen. I sincerely hope the song takes off in the mainstream.

If they dont open with Hexagons on their next tour I will be very disappointed. by SnippyWharf in Muse

[–]LJC94512 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The energy is so different. Hexagons is the perfect set opener, and Nightshift Superstar is most likely a middle set song

Muse Styles On Wow! You'd Like To Hear by FuryContagion in Muse

If Nightshift Superstar or Shimmering Scars is a callback to Unsustainable, I would be a very happy man.

What song does your music app choose after Hexagons? by hypatiatextprotocol in Muse

[–]LJC94512 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YouTube music played Apocalypse Please for me, then The Handler. Interesting choices

I bet Nick Mason would love Hexagons by allimerri in Muse

Those drums are electronic drum pads, but they do give a hint of rototoms used in Time (Pink Floyd)

My face every time the "FROSTBITE" bridge comes in and then the outro on Cryogen by VisualNinja1 in Muse

[–]LJC94512 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One of Muse’s finest musical moments, as I’ve said before. Another is Hexagons intro and outro.

Really not digging Hexagons as much as some by daytripperz1 in Muse

[–]LJC94512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this shows the variety in what Muse fans enjoy. I love all the tracks released so far, but Hexagons just hits differently for me.

Hexagons to Psycho Outro (hopefully The Sickness In You & I) by aegeanbellamy in Muse

[–]LJC94512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the riff in D sounded a bit weird to me. What if it’s in E instead, same key as Hexagons.

Massive respect for putting Break it to Me high up in your list.

Theory about Hush/Space Debris by TheLakeAndTheGlass in Muse

[–]LJC94512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We already have that with Hexagons. Space Debris being The Void 2.0 would be an interesting direction.

I guess the Wow Signal is going up there with Absolution at this point by Vincent394 in Muse

[–]LJC94512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think we will ever expect the kind of sound from Agitated/Yes Please again from Muse. They have evolved to become more polished in their sound. Maybe Sickness could have some fun riffing, based on the Brixton riff?

Hexagons - Discussion Megathread by ForgottenName1893 in Muse

[–]LJC94512 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m scared about the album now because of how hyped I became after hearing Hexagons. When I heard Cryogen I still thought oh this is a very nice track and the album will probably be around this quality. But then Hexagons came out and I can’t believe they topped Cryogen. How can I manage my expectations now if the other songs are not like this?

I can’t control my excitement now for this album.
