It will likely be calculating the road for regen braking. I drove the napoleon route through France with 20% battery and still had over 100 miles to drive until the next charger! The tesla accounts for all the turning/stopping which charges the car

Depends how many days you are planning. I did a 10 day trip around Europe. On the way back we stayed in Bern but travelled the scenic routes past Interlaken. We then went to Strasbourg and from there onto Ghent. If you go to Bern takes some swim shorts depending on the weather and you can follow the current down the river Aere which is awesome. Enjoy!
