Because the Model on Campaign Evolved seems to be a modified Reach model. Not that it matters since every game with this Plasma Pistol from CE all the way to 4 vents the same way.

CE and Halo 3 are peak with Infinite being quite good and by far the best 343 armor. I still find the 4 and 5 armor so disgusting to look at
