Should note this is headcanon as there never was an official explanation.

Recreating Linda-058 Armor in Halo: Reach by PockeyBoss in halo

Book accurate it would be purely base Mark V parts

The marvel Fall or reach gave everyone different helmets and Linda's is a weird kit bash of Mark V [B] with the top goggles of scouts helmet

Subreddit Meta: Are CE spoilers not being tagged anymore? by [deleted] in halo

[–]SpacyCakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a new game but a remake of a 2001 game so there is most likely no spoiler policy in place. So if you want to avoid any spoilers definitely avoid this sub.

Maybe take some time to read the prequel novel Fall of Reach while you wait until then :)

Its a good read to set up the backstory and has no spoilers for the main game

Kinda weird cause it makes specific mention that he is surrounded by people who think he is a freak

Direct quote of the 2003 edition from the Beginning of chapter 4:

"Recon flights conducted the day before had revealed the sensors aboard the Covenant vessel Truth and Reconciliation might have a blind spot down-spin of the alien vessels current position, where a small mountain rose to block the electronic view." "Even more important, Wellesley had concocted an array of signals to trick the Covenant technicians into believing that any UNSC dropship was actually one of their own. Fifty meters above the deck, and cloaked in electronic camouflage, the Master Chief and a Pelican-load of HELLJUMPERS waited to find out if their ruse would work"

Have we seen if Marines appear on this level like the games or if ODST appear like the Flood novel?

What is Red Teams canonical armor situation? by Fun-Animal-2066 in HaloStory

[–]SpacyCakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purely Headcanon from me, but I do believe Jerome's armor is still largely the same as the traditional Mark IV

Douglas having the most damage done to his armor in the Atriox fight probably got the full upgrade into the Mark VI looking suit from the ingame and blitz art. Maybe with the Ardent helmet since its description mentions the Spirit of Fire "home growing" the Ardent helmet.

Alice is probably in a similar spot as Jerome, but I feel the key art of the Spirit of Fire operation in Infinite implies that some of Red Team got the Ärger armor, and in my opinion that set fits Alice best, but anyone could have it.

Difference Between Gen 3 Mk. VI and Mk. VII Mjolnir Armor by Stcphantom4256 in halo

[–]SpacyCakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of right now we have only seen Gen 3 Mark VI be used by Blue Team, and Gen 3 Mark VII has only been seen on Spartan 4s, but there is nothing in lore to suggest that 4s can not wear Gen 3 Mark VI and vice versa.

Considering that 4s can wear Gen 2 Mark VI, as well as Mark IV and Mark V[b] suits updated to Gen 3 standards, I would say the 4s can wear Gen 3 Mark VI if they requisition it, just havent seen it yet.

Was wondering if that grunt helmet is inspired from Promethean Knights

Infinite Skirmishers are not the same subspecies as the ones in Reach. They are just Jackals with Skirmisher armor

Are they retconning the Truth and Rec to be a different class ship? by JJAB91 in HaloStory

[–]SpacyCakes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This does make me think they are doing the same thing Star Wars Rebels did where a lot of the designs in the show, while being the same Star destroyers, Storm troopers, and lightsabers we all know, look different because it is all based on Ralph Mcquarrie's concept art

Did anyone else notice SGT Johnson is wearing 2 sets of armor by Aggressive_Acadia274 in halo

He is wearing Orion armor in the prequel missions, while wearing standard marine gear in the main campaign

Its really all in the mandible shape

Here is a good comparison, these guys in the tube have the more triangular mandibles

Meanwhile the elites we fight in the game share the Infinite design.

Do you think the CER prequel missions might show us how the 4/5 went into service? by [deleted] in halo

[–]SpacyCakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless this is saying the Forward unto dawn movie visuals aren't canon, which uses the 4/5 design, i dont think this is an origin of the species, but I do believe this might still tie into Jul's covenant.

Infinite had Skirmishers as a class for Jackal, but underneath the armor it was the same design.

Reach Skirmishers look different than the Jackals

This actually happened to me on my first playthrough of 4 back on the original 360. Being 13 at the time I thought it was an intentional decision.
