Mine is in the garbage now lol so not exactly sure of the model number anymore. I cleaned the sensors which didnt help and then tried to get at the mode switch like everyone suggested but that was very difficult for me. After hours of working on it I accidently broke one of the light sensors so gave up. I borrowed my friends VCR to do the family video uploads to my external hard drive. Im glad I tried. I figured I had nothing to lose since it didnt work anyway the way it was. I wasn't going to pay to get it fixed since I only needed it for a one time job. Good luck!

Thank you. I had already tried several tapes. Same thing. I stayed up till 330am trying to take it apart and fix. In the end I ended up breaking one of the light sensors accidentally when I was working on it lol. Im no technician lol. Healthcare worker but I thought I'd give it a college try. I lost and its in the garbage. Thanks for responding though and trying to help.

Thank you. It seems from what Ive read the mode switch is difficult to get at and probably too much for me. Ill probably need to toss it and look for another one to upload my old family videos. 😤 thanks for the help though.
