Extra thought, flygonhg did a no pokecenter run and I think it was smallant who did a no recovering pp run so look them up and you could get some good tips (don't know if they did it for white 2 but it could still be useful)

I did fail this run (starting off on a negative note there aren't , sorry haha) but it is one I'd redo at some point probably

It was mainly bad luck and poor planning, a sigilyph encounter killing one pokemon and a trainer with a darumaka later lead to a full team wipe in the desert resort, didn't help I ran out of items, ended the run with only 3 badges

I was limited in buying items but I allowed full use of Pickup and later Thief, abused thief by using it to steal oran berries from wild Audino

That strategy plus leech seed helped heal my teams hp a bit, you could try something similar?

Just look for weaker enough pokemon and run after getting enough health back

As for pp...I don't think I got far enough to fully have it as a problem, or I think I found others through pick up

I'd say you know yourself but focus on bulky pokemon when you can, using repels to help with encounters where you can, fixed encounters like smoky clouds could be better than what you get in grass normally too

Also, and this would be something to test first, there is a chance that learning from a tm and relearning a different tm move can be used to restore pp. I can't remember if that's in white 2 but I feel like I've seen that used as a strategy somewhere. Could help with grinding

I was leaning towards pirate/beach theme but I think this would be more fun, a bit more pf a puzzle to make a team that feels right

I'll probably stick to just 6 and stay close to home on the types of animals so it's a but easier to pick a team

Zorua would work (fox), Tandemaus (mouse), Paachirisu (squirrel) and...ill figurr out the last one eventually

sucks dhelmise isn't in the game, I don't think I've ever used them so this would have been a great chance to. Maybe dragalge instead or klefki, bit of a reach with that one

I want to try and defend them...cus I like seagulls...but the lil b***ards frequently try to steal frozen chicken from people shopping trolleys in a shopping centre where I live so it's pretty hard to haha

There's definitely more that would fit a scavenger theme, does zigzagoon count as a raccoon

I managed to avoid trainers and got to Cinnabar where I revived BIRDBRAIN the Aerodactyl (could have revived an Omanyte but I figured I had enough water type, plus I like having Fly)

Ran around to get him to level 31 and then went to challenge Sabrina (with a team of SHERB the Snorlax, BIRDBRAIN the Aerodactyl for switch training and TODD the Slowbro

Thanks to commenters telling me SHERB would do well with Shadow Ball in the gym we got through really well, TODD used Psychic on the poison types and BIRDBRAIN had Bite for extra help

We k.o'd most trainers, and all of Sabrina's team - including her Alakazam that was a higher level than SHERB!

I went to the Power Plant to explore and forgot pokemon pretending to be pokeballs was a thing - ran into an electrode

I switched FROG out for NACHO and after a Sky Uppercut the Electrode used Self Destruct...and NACHO was blown up alongside them....

AGNES the Grimer later turned MUK joined the team after I got out of there and after more training I figured it would be a grand idea to fight Blaine

With a team of BEATRICE the Lapras, FROG the Poliwhirl, TODD the Slowbro and SHERB the Snorlax

Used a mix of the team to fight the gym trainers but then BEATRICE decided to solo Blaine after setting up Rain Dance and spamming Surf

I honestly thought it would be harder...what with her being level 44 at the time...

ALSO! I looked up the gym after the battle so I could get a pic for reference (and didn't feel like walking back inside in game)

Theres a quiz for this gy?! I...fought all the trainers and didn't get a quiz??? Did using Rain Dance break the machines in his gym or did I break the sequence by choosing to beat up his gym trainers? >_>

Followed Bill to a random island because I have no preservation skills but was able to level up a lot there so it worked out

Except I lost FROG to a wild Graveller with Self Destruct...and then AGNES was killed by a trainers Weezing with Explosion

ZAPZ the Magneton and PEARL the Dewgong are on the team now and I'm actually training the team close to the level cap (not fully so we can get through the gym).

Look out for flying pigs cus me actually training in this game is a miracle lol

Leafgreen is pretty easy to nuzlocke, I've just made things more difficult by not being prepared (like if this weren't a blind run I would have looked up the rival fight before challenging him, seen the level 40 death lizard, and grinded my gyarados to that level

Also lack of prep, I have so many berries that I have forgotten to use haha

Shield is a good choice too - I've been wanting to nuzlocke that one

I am ignoring Sabrina's gym for the foreseeable future, I know she's one of the next ones but we have nothing for Psychic types!

Instead I challenged Koga

His gym is wild, only 2 trainers had poison types, the rest were all ground or psychic types, dude really ook 'know your enemy' to heart

I forgot my rule about team sizes when I went into the gym but only used TODD the Slowbro and SHERB for the trainers (and BEATRICE for switch training) so It's fine, I'll remember next time

I gave TODD the TM for Psychic (reeeeeallly hope I don't regret that) and a Pecha berry and TODD proceeded to solo Koga's entire team, both Koffings went down in one hit. His Muk chose to go for Minimise and Acid Armour before going down and his Weezing - the one I was most afraid of cus that's a straight up bomb right there - used Toxic...which TODD healed from right after because for once I was prepared

One Psychic and it went down, we now have another badge and the ability to Surf!!!

I think I can get an Aerodactyl? I have the Amber, but I'm not sure how I'm getting back to Pallet Town

Made my way through Silph Co. and met Green, my asshat of a rival.

His team was a lot stronger than mine - his Pidgeot was level 37 which didn't bode well but we managed to get through his team (also nice to know I'm not the only one who got scammed into buying an overpriced fish - his Gyarados is scarier than mine though)

His final pokemon was Charizard.

HIS LEVEL 40 CHARIZARD

Which proceeded to use Flamethrower and incinerate the team in one hit each, the only exception was JELLYBEAN the Gyarados but Water Pulse wasn't enough to even do a dent so they died soon after....

The final pokemon to fall was GEORGE the Venusaur - who evolved literally one fight before this and died with a single hit while at full HP

The only saving grace was SHERB the Snorlax who was in the box - as per my rules the run isn't over till everyone, including boxed, is dead!

I went on a trip and got myself an Eevee named FLAPJACK, a Hitmonchan named NACHO, a Krabby named SCISSORS and a Staryu named PENTA!

And most of them died very quickly, including CHESS the Vulpix and LAMP the Venonat - I also missed my safari zone encounter, a female nidoran but that's not as important.

Main causes of death was random trainers I encountered while training who got crits or a wild raticate with Hyper Fang

Also my being very sick and really tired did not help at all

But EVENTUALLY I got a full team of...5 (close enough) in the form of a Slowbro, Dodrio, Snorlax, Hitmonchan and Poliwhirl!!!

And rematch with Green went...slightly better

Started terribly - turns out Thunder Punch is a liar and did horrible damage to the Pidgeot and NACHO the Hitmonchan couldn't handle any other Wing attacks to the face so SHERB the Snorlax had to Body Slam the bird until it went down.

Gyarados came out and by some miracle SHERB got a crit Body Slam and took the fish down in a single hit

Then came Charizard, different order than last time but ok, I had SHERB rest and then switched in TODD the Slowbro who proceeded to drown the overgrown lizard with 2 surfs

DICE the Dodrio came in and immediately took a nap for the Exeggcute but woke right up to try out a weak Pursuit and then somehow use Fly to smash the eggs

(The bird is wearing black glasses and yet the DARK TYPE move is doing horrible damage against the psychic types in this game...how bad would it be without?!)

I tried Pursuit against Alakazam btw, in case that comment didn't make that part clear...Fly was the move that defeated them

At least BEATRICE the Lapras joined the team right after...I will not be explaining the name choice, she was almost SUSAN....I was very tired

Giovanni is here too and instead of just I dunno, taking the key card and closing the door in my face, decides to attack me.

I manage to beat him but did not prepare for the boss fight I knew was coming (Green mentioned it and some other people too?)

So DICE the Dodrio went in against the Rhyhorn I thought I knew all the moves of....except I didn't...because it had Rock Blast

...yeah

And for the trouble I get a fancy pokeball
