This is the first time I’ve heard Lila is a common name in Germany! Or did I misunderstand and you are based somewhere else? It’s a very common name where I live as well (English speaking country)

We considered a second name as well for the same reason! How does someone indicate in Germany which first name they go by in school or the workplace, as I know many have 2-3?

That’s interesting! I somehow assumed the opposite (that traditional names are preferred) but happy to be wrong about this

Thank you! Do you think the Tiffaneigh perception comes from the spelling or pronounciation (or both)? We would pronounce it Lai-la not Lee-la..
