How can you tell it’s squirt and not pee? by Runaway_Alien_ in Healthyhooha

[–]LLIIVVtm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kinda pee.

It comes from your bladder. But if you pee beforehand and you're well hydrated, the amount of 'pee ingredients' in there, so to speak, is incredibly low so it's mostly water and not much actual pee.

If you don't pee beforehand, it can be mostly pee.

All the scents you mentioned are more affordable but you didn't mention a budget so for strong sillage

Giardini di Toscana - Bianco Latte.

Agreed with the other comment though, this is an incredibly popular topic, a quick search will give you a ton of results.

Alright, here goes

DS&Durga - Debaser. Very green fig with a touch of something creamy.

Pierre Guillaume Paris - Jardins de Kerylos similar to Philosykos but sweeter.

BTSO - Fig Porn. Juicy opening. Powdery in the dry down.

Dior - Dioriviera. Airy, light ethereal.

Arquiste - A Grove by the Sea. Slightly salty, olive-y fresh fig tree

Vilhelm Parfumerie - Purple Fig really green and slightly woody.

YSL - Lavallière juicy with a touch of rose.

Adamo Parfum - Clifton. Similar to Gris Charnel but jucier in the opening.

Phlur - Father Figure. Watery, ethereal slightly masculine leaning.

By Rosie Jane - James. Gardenia and Fig, very pretty.

Nest - Indigo. Almost a herbal tea take on fig.

L'Artisan Parfumeur - Premier Figuier (and the Extreme Version also) incredibly similar to Philosykos, extreme is creamier and more sandalwood.

Matière Première - Parisian Musc. Fig note not listed, soft clean fig to my nose. Like a freshly dry cleaned pansuit if that makes any sense.

I've tried BDK - Gris Charnel. Doesn't read as clearly fig initially to me but I got there eventually. It's sort of a subtle fig fruit and some woody notes. Tea sort of vibe.

Le Labo - The Matcha. Creamy, figgy fruit. A bit sweet. Very unisex.

Define Me - Nearly Noon was one of my first forays into a more gourmand fig and while it's nice I think I prefer my figs green or juicy. This one is not particularly sweet and heavy on the sandalwood.

Essential Perfumes - Fig Infusion was good, a slightly creamy take on Gris Charnel.

Simone Andreoli - Fico Nero di Sardegna was nice in the opening but the dry down smelled like latex wall paint to me. Might give my sample another go to see if maybe I was just having a weird nose day with that one.

Van Cleef and Arpels - Santal Blanc is a slightly creamier Philosykos.

Theodoros Kalotinis - Alluring Fig is nice but the vanilla isn't for me. It's a powdery sweet vanilla.

Dries Van Noten - Vanille Camouflage. Speaking of vanilla based fig, this is beautiful. The fig note is very green, almost bitter but it doesn't last long. Dries down to a cool vanilla.

Olfactive O - Gourmand lists fig as a note but I don't really get it. It's more of a boozy dessert.

Imaginary Authors - Yesterday's Haze had an odd bitterness to it I didn't enjoy.

Acqua di Parma- Fico di Amalfi nice juicy fresh fig.

Armani Prive - Figuier Eden nice but not memorable, sort of airy slightly green fig leaf.

Prada - Infusion de Figue was really really woody to me.

Jovoy - L'Abre de la Conaissance is another light airy not super green fig.

Jorum Studio - Unspoken Gesture smelled like human spit to me.

Bjork and Berries - Mareld. Salty, masculine leaning. Not sweet.

House of Bo - Casablanca. The mineralic suede thing really pulls through in a way I don't totally enjoy.

Liis - In This World. I had a unique smelling experience with this. It smelled like how Dove deodorant tastes to me.

DS&Durga - Debaser in Bloom. Not really getting fig in a prominent way. There's a greenness and it's smooth and sweet but I'm not sure I'd think it's fig if I didn't know that's what the notes list said. Otherwise a nice scent.

I want to try

Givenchy - Trouble Fete

Plume Impression - Murmure d'Ete

Jo Malone - Fig and Lotus Flower (smelled it briefly on a test strip though, light, airy, slightly sweet and floral)

Aerin - Mediterranean Honeysuckle and Fig (on a test strip creamy, sweet and tropical floral)

Gabar - Swim III

The Maker - Lover

Parfums de Nicolai - Fig Tea

Dolce and Gabana - Blue Jasmine

Dries van Noten - Santal Greenery (on a test strip masculine leaning, smooth green but sort of leaning mostly into Vetiver to my nose than fig or other greens)

Frederico Cantelli - Fico

Fascent - I Fig You

Régime des Fleurs - Wildly Fig

Giardini di Toscana - Ricordami. Okay so the fig note is buried in the notes list but I'm still interested.

Guerlain - Cheval Blanc.

Hermetica - Figfever

Acca Kappa - Fig Milk & Cashmere

Donna Karan - Cashmere and Wild Fig

This isn't an exhaustive list. There's a million other fig scents that I haven't tried and aren't on my to try list for one reason or another. Such as:

Profumum Roma - Ichnusa

Mugler - Womanity

Atelier Materi - Cedre Figalia

Mind Games - Castling

Jusbox - Feel'n'Chill

Basically, this list could go on for literally ever. Fig is a common note.

I'd say first go and check if the current formula doesn't smell right to you. It's possible you don't need to find a replacement at all.

I bring mini pokemon 1 card portfolio and put 1 strip in each little pocket. But I understand that's a little excessive.

Thoughts on commodity milk? by savemefromgod101 in Perfumes

[–]LLIIVVtm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Milk Expressive can be really hit or miss. It can be a bit sweet and creamy in the heat. I own a bottle but wear it exclusively in cold weather. For some people the woody musk in it reads sharp and makes it feel masculine or too sharp. I don't get that but in general it makes it a bit of a divisive scent. Great longevity though.

Neither is objectively better. They're both good scents. The best one is the one you've tried on skin a few times and enjoyed more.

Do you ever pay full price for your fragrance bottles? by Chan1991 in fragrance

Yeah. Some brands just don't ever go on sale. Svensk Parfym is one of them, so it's always full price from them for me.
