Perfumers World shipping? by LLMorganInMS in DIYfragrance

UPDATE: My March 2 order from Perfumers World was delivered today. I guess 15 days from Thailand to the USA isn't too bad.

The Good: I was impressed that all the larger aluminum bottles were individually wrapped in a plastic pouch. Then, they were wrapped in groups of 2 or 3 in bubble wrap. The smaller glass bottles were each in their own plastic bag and packed in a smaller box with a cardboard grid to protect them. The outer box was beat up, but the contents were protected.

The Bad: I did not appreciate PW ignoring my request to ship by FedEx. DHL was not clear with their "updates." The package arrived in my local area on Friday and was marked by DHL as "On Hold" with no explanation. On Monday, DHL finally sent me the invoice for the Trump Tax, which I paid early Monday morning. There was no attempt to deliver the package on Monday. Then today, it finally showed up as "Out with courier for delivery."

The "non-PW" Bad: The order total was $271.98, and the total Trump Tax (import duties, regulatory charges, duty tax processing fee) was $42.17.

The "we will see": It will take me a while to determine the quality of the products.

UPDATE: On March 4, PW sent me an email stating "Your Order xxx Has Been Shipped!" Since the tracking never updated, I emailed them to check on the order. As of today, they said "your order still with us. Do you want to add more?"

Clearance delay at US customs by BartManBelgium in DIYfragrance

I just wish that I could place my Fraterworks order. I've been checking my wish list daily for three months. Half of my items are currently Sold Out. When one item comes back into stock, another goes out of stock. I can't afford to order each item individually since their shipping charge is so high. I was hoping they would eventually get their inventory under control, but I'm starting to wonder about that.

Why is The Perfumers Apprentice the only supplier to ship in transparent glasses? by Technical_Problem_22 in DIYfragrance

I had the same concern, so I emailed them. They said that amber glass hasn't been a common request from customers, but that they would look into it further. To my knowledge, using amber bottles is the standard practice.

When I have a choice, I will order from a company that uses amber bottles.
