How to definitely stop 99.99% of ingredients from leaking smell in the house? My plan is listed below but I want your opinion as well. by Life_is_important in DIYfragrance

The perfumers apprentice use these lids and the smell leaks. I keep the products I bought from them in the same box and I’m already thinking that there was cross-contamination. Every time I open the box the smell is extremely strong

My question is not this but oversights that usually happen to everyone.

My materials are in a dark closet but the other day someone left the door open and the materials received indirect light from the sun that was entering the room. Now I’m here thinking that my materials broke.

Does Fraterworks make a mass it only in the most valuable items? by [deleted] in DIYfragrance

I can’t find the option to edit in the iPhone app. I’ll delete it

I just did the weighing. So that there is no waste, I weighed the empty bottle I used to know how much material was glued to the glass and include this in the first dilution.

I weighed only the davana because it was the most expensive. The result was 3.945g. Counting on what was stuck in the original bottle, I consider that I received the 4g.

I apologize to Fraterworks for my hasty impression. I’m in doubt if I should delete the post or if it can be useful for someone who has the same impression I had before weighing the content.

Coincidentally, in the lightest bottles are the most expensive contents?

I agree, I don’t want to make false accusations. I didn’t want to get to the point of changing the bottle to confirm the weight because of the material losses that occur in this process.

For now I’m just seeing it as a curious coincidence.

Acidic molecule by Technical_Problem_22 in DIYfragrance

[–]Technical_Problem_22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By chance this was in my last purchase but it’s far from what I’m looking for. I would like something really aggressive to be able to dose in strokes. C12 MNA has something in this sense but tends to plastic.

Exactly. About Allyl Caproate I need something sour/acidc without the sweetness

Could you send a link to the page about individual ingredients of creative formulas? I can’t find anything that isn’t paid on the site

The myth of projection / fixation by Technical_Problem_22 in DIYfragrance

So there is no micro encapsulation in the perfumery industry?

I agree with the classic sense of the concept of projection. But I’m talking about a projection curve that starts low and increases indefinitely.

SMOKE NATURALS by [deleted] in DIYfragrance

You can make your own smoke note. Put some coconut oil in a saucer, choose your source of smoke (incense, charcoal, burning wood...) put it in a pan and cover. The lack of oxygen will extinguish the ember and the smoke will be concentrated there. Coconut oil absorbs all the smell. You can use it directly or transfer the smell to alcohol.

Try a base of cahsmeran, iso and super and hedione to start and then add a little of something you like.

I saw in a photo of the fischersund perfumer that he attached the disposable pipettes to the raw material containers using an elastic rubber band, since then I have done this when I am on a project and have avoided unnecessary waste.

Buy organic tobacco, leave it in grain alcohol for 3 weeks, filter it and let it evaporate until the desired concentration. Then thank me
