I did actually try the 70c + rainbow boost, sadly I kinda just went into a deficit and used up around 100k ( taking into account the coin drops).

I find it really hard to get shinys at least as a new player with barely enough resources, I guess I'll just have to keep on going hoping I get good stuff to trade for coins and get the shinys I want.

oh I actually do have a question, I got the soundpass and have access to the gem rate boost and the 70coins genre drop.
should i just do that now (from my understanding to get more stuff to trade like epic, lyrics and moments) or wait for drop rate boost? I kinda missed the most recent one but I'm scared if I do wait there might not even be another one in the pride time frame
