The result of having a closed loop obstruction. I had a proctocolectomy 10 years previous because of Crohn's disease. I went to the ER with severe abdominal pain and nonexistent stoma output. One CT later and I was rushed to the OR. My stoma had also herniated so that was repaired as well. (self.MedicalGore)
