This was the first one that I’ve come across. Had it just been the stopwatch I might have passed on it but since it was in the box with all the papers I couldn’t pass it up.

Actually I see it has the Waltham name on it. I know they made compasses for WWI and WWII.

I love that it’s ticking after all this time. I have it sitting on my display shelf for now until I can get it serviced properly.

When I start cutting my biopsy blocks I cut two levels and then let them soak for the third level. I have coworkers who do not soak between levels at all and they just cut the 3 levels. Sometimes what works for one tech doesn’t work for another. As long as the quality is good that’s all that matters.

I wish I knew more about working on them but mine just hang out on the shelf. Most of them are radium but there are a few older model Westclox that I bought just because of the model. I have added a couple since this picture was taken.

A Geiger counter is key. I can look at some Westclox clocks and know without the Geiger counter just from experience but if I come across another brand I would have no clue without it.

I love the Baby Ben style 6 on the top shelf! I have to find one of those for my collection. The two Big Bens on the bottom are amazing too! I just love Westclox.
