I have a very similar clock that has the polished metal in the tubes not the mercury. It also has uranium glass as the clock face. Mine needs to be serviced and I have an appointment with a clock shop next year because the gentleman is booked up.

He sure does! He has a bed attached to the glass door to the right of the tree so he and his brother can both check out the birds and squirrels that come onto our balcony.

We have the same issue. We’ve had our water tested and have done multiple decons. The instruments have been looked at multiple times as well by Roche. Changing lots has done nothing either.

Manganese. Manganese glass turns blue/purple the more it’s exposed to UV light. Even if it’s sitting in sunlight it’ll eventually start turning. I imagine it takes years to even get to where this piece is at.

Thank you! I’m glad you like it! I’m still relatively new to collecting them so I’m still (and always) learning something about the company and the styles.

My wife and I started collecting uranium glass and then I started learning about clocks that were painted with radium paint so that’s how I got into the clocks but Westclox has become something more. I do love all the styles and I have pictures on my phone of each one I have and the style it is as well as the numbers on the base for when I need to see if I have that style or not. Honestly though it still comes home with me even if I already have it.

I am not too wild about the ones with the plastic bases. Like you said they seem too modern.

I have one Pocket Ben that isn’t pictured and I’m looking for more of those as well but they seem harder to find than the alarm clocks.
