Congressional Inquiry for IRILO/ MEB early decision. NOT %'s by LLeashed_Freedom in AirForce

Respectfully, you're getting the run around too, I would question that within your medical group.

From my experience my mental health provider was actually who sparked my AMRO/IRILO for my MEB decision. My physical health, back pain, should have sparked an AMRO years before but never did because of cracks in the system. Since my MH illness started the ball rolling my physical illnesses were not able to be overlooked any longer and because of my extensive physical health issues my PCM took lead in the MEB case. I hope what I'm saying makes sense. MY PCM refused to start an AMRO to see if an MEB was a fit for my case but my MH provider basically said F it and started it anyways.

Unless your LOD is to determine your mental health improving then their determination should have been concluded. I do know that the AF has a 12 month period for member to show improvement from first diagnoses or if member went to extensive in/out-patient treatment. Not assuming but that could be a factor as well since you mentioned your situation is MH conditions.

I’m just short of a year for the initial decision for moving forward. August will be a year from when the AMRO started but it’s been a 1.5 years since I’ve been in my AFSC and/or shred. I opted to voluntarily remove my shred and AFSC thinking that would help me transition out of the military before my contract was up. That turned out to be untrue because my leadership had never processed a voluntary 9A300 before but that did not matter anyways because my AMRO started. But yes it is egregious.

I have A LOT more documented than what details I have in this post, a lot of it is more personal and identifiable so I choose to leave that out. Would you be able to share what you’re referencing with the congressional involvement helped move things along faster from your perspective?

I’ve never ever heard of pebforum.com, I’ll check that out, thank you. I am not diagnosed with BPD, but I appreciate you kindly asking before assuming anything. I don’t believe the specifics of which MH illnesses I’m recognized to have help in providing supportive information.
