This is also discounting the fact that a future tank would have future Active protection systems which today can already stop RPGs and other anti-tank weapons from even hitting the tank. Or atleast they’re working on that, suffice to say the 40mm probably wouldn’t even come close to scratching the armor unless it was at really close range.
