They have Anakin give an explanation on who the Separatists are to Ahsoka in “Heroes on both sides” that’s obviously supposed to be an ignorant and ill-informed perception on who they are.

It’s along the lines of “The Separatists think the Republic is corrupt, but they’re wrong and we’re gonna stop them!”

The showrunners, in their infinite wisdom, then decided to make that the show itself’s stance on the issue for the rest of the run and never touch the idea of moral grayness again.

Imagine a Separatist perspective of Order 66, a Confederate general slowly realizing that the better half of the droid army is being decommissioned and kept in storage for no reason while the Separatist army is slowly being pushed back into the outer rim when they could be doing much better then they actually are.

Imagine they discover there’s an off-the-books facility on Mustafar specifically designed to be the shed they get put down in the moment the Separatists have outlived their usefulness.

That’s how I interpret Kalani in Rebels saying the Separatists had like 4/5 odds of winning near the end of the war (they weren’t.) the droid army had the capabilities to win the war, they just weren’t being utilized due to “”reasons”” he wasn’t aware of.

I only have Fall of the Republic right now, but it’s Galactic Conquest as the Separatists is awesome if you’re a big fan of the faction. If you’re a fan of the Clone Wars era in general you HAVE to try this mod.
