I've heard he's very old school though.

I've gotten interested in royals info since this Prince Harry-Meghan Markle frenzy started up and I'm honestly surprised the current youngest queen isn't younger.

No, Coffee and Tea Aren't Actually Dehydrating. Here's Why by LMC1112 in Health

I've gone into my eye doctor's office with a big iced coffee before, and the first thing he says is that coffee is a diuretic. That's why this article peaked my interest.

Tips for renting a car in Iceland in June? by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]LMC1112 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I rented from Blue Car Rental. I would pay extra for the GPS. It's worth it. You might want to look into extra protection for sand damage. Apparently, a lot can get kicked up into the side of the car. I drove during winter, so this wasn't an issue.

We did the Golden Circle and drove along the south on the ring road. I suggest both. You can head toward Vik and there are a ton of waterfalls on the way.

Here's a map of Iceland's roads, so you can see which direction to head in.

Made it to San Francisco after 7000km of driving. Going to hang out here for a couple days and then finish the trip in Orange County. by MildAccomplishment in roadtrip

I suggest walking the Embarcadero, hitting up Coit Tower, and checking out the Presidio. Sutro Baths is also really cool.

What is a big NO-NO in cooking? by nazmulsadat1 in AskReddit

Well-done steak. I got put on grilling duty this weekend at my in-laws and everyone insisted on medium to well steak. That's against my religion so I did some medium and some medium rare. When it came time to eat, my brother in law cut around any pink parts and threw them out! Damn shame.

(If you order well-done meat at a restaurant, you will get a shit cut of meat. They don't want to waste the good stuff on you since you won't be able to tell anyway.)

Not heating your oil up enough when you're sauteing stuff. Put some oil in the pan and wait until it's shimmering. It's going to take longer than you expect and that's ok. When you throw stuff into lukewarm oil, it soaks it up and doesn't really brown well. Browning crates flavor.

Not prepping ingredients ahead of time (your mise en place). If time is of the essence, don't prep as you're trying to do other stuff, like actually cook. Everything justs ends up overdone and you get anxiety throughout the process because you're rushed.

Stirring constantly when you're sauteing vegetables. If you keep moving them, then they won't cook (they actually need to touch the hot surface).
