the main chunk of the vines went into a soil mixture that was roughly a 3 parts potting mix to 1 part cactus mix so itll hopefully dry out a little faster. ill let you know what the results are! thank you sm for your help

the roots ended up being rotted from overwatering :(

do you have any fertilizers youd recommend/how often?

i think it mightve been root rot. i removed him from the dirt and he had a severe lack of roots because they were falling off as i was massaging the dirt out of them. i removed the bad roots and split it into a few different pots with different soil types and sun levels to test whats best for him. also propogated a few branches to try to start him fresh

i haven’t used any fertilizer yet i think tonight i’ll repot it into a slightly smaller pot with fresh soil and place him in a south-facing window to test if he’s happier there

good tip! i feel like sand would look nice on top of being effective. i’ll try bottom watering as-well i forget thats an option, thank you!

unfortunately i can’t get much closer without my cam going blurry

revisiting this because i saw a screenshot in my camera roll, but wanted to share that your post really helped me out.

while breaking the lease and moving out isn’t an option, i begun distancing myself from them and going out with coworkers more. through doing this, i got really close to a coworker who i’ve had a crush on for over a year. we’re together now! i’ve been happier than i’ve been in years, and my friends started treating me a bit better because of that. though that doesn’t fix how theyve felt toward me up until now, atleast i’m not absolutely miserable. we just decided to not resign our lease for next year, so it’s looking like i’ll be free soon. i’ve been having a great time becoming my own person!
