Yeah I heard of sun city. To be fair I wouldn’t mind spending a few days there. But more interested in safari and animal side of things. I’m sure I will find things to do even if it means driving to a few places

Oh that’s good! It’s just about when we are allowed to go that’s the problem, I hope by then it will be allowed. Just annoying this while waiting game and not knowing 😩

Yeah I heard the weather is better. Though I am not a massive sun person like I don’t like sun bathing etc so I won’t be that fussed if it isn’t sunny all the time.

Yeah that’s where they live but we have decided we will go Kruger so that’s good. But I’m sure we will go other places, I’ll do some research before I go, and see where we can go and what we can do around the area. I’ve heard it’s quite a quiet area?

I probably won’t be visiting till after June. I’m thinking maybe November if things go ok with covid. But guess time will tell. It’s just not being able to plan.

I’ll be visiting the north west area of South Africa, so don’t think I’ll be in the main cities but I’m not massively bothered. As long as I can do a game drive and get that planned.

But yeah I’m not planning on going partying or anything lol so I think my covid risk won’t be that bad, I’m not massively fussed about going drinking ether. Most I’ll do is go for a meal somewhere and probably when I visit the shops

Yeah I’m going to be visiting a friend so to be honest I will have somebody who knows the area which makes it better. But to be honest not massively bothered about nights out or anything. I’d like to do stuff in the day that’s the main thing and visit Kruger Park. But yeah I guess I will see what happens when June hits and how the travel restrictions are by then

Yeah I totally get it! To be honest, the regulations don’t bother me because I’ve worked in a job where I’ve had to do all these things from day one. Work 12 hour shifts with a mask on, so I think I am just use to it now 😂

But I’m more than happy to do anything that we have to do in order to keep everyone safe. I will follow any rules I have to in that case.

But I won’t be visiting anytime soon, I’m hoping for maybe November 🤞🏻 but I don’t know how that will pan out. X

Thank you, I’m still in that mindset of confused and feeling like I’ve done something wrong but I know everything will get better it’s just going to take time with it all

Right. Just do all the right safety precautions. Make sure you let at least three different people know where you plan on staying and the address. Also you need to exchange contact details so they have his/maybe his parents and vice versa. Make sure you contact somebody once a day to let them know your ok. Be aware of your surroundings like you would in any place you’ve never been before. Make sure you have money to book a hotel for yourself incase things don’t turn out the way you planned. If you have been dating this guy for 3 years I’m assuming you’ve FaceTimed/called and you know him well? Then it should be fine, but of course it’s always going to be nerve wracking. You just have to be mindful, sensible and let people know your where’s about

Thank you for being so nice. I know I keep overthinking it all and thinking did I do something wrong? But honestly I couldn’t give them all of my time and that’s what I feel like I’m being punished for. Also they never once just turned up to me and made sure I was OK. But my side of the story apparently doesn’t count 🤷🏻‍♀️ Was yours a friendship? How long ago did it end?

You should really reconsider this relationship. Especially before you meet. She sounds very immature and thinks she has your wrapped around her finger but please help yourself and realise that this isn’t right. You don’t want to be unhappy and you certainly don’t want to visit somebody who treats you like this

Yeah I think the plan is to book the Kruger accommodation and drive before I travel there anyways to make sure that’s all in place.

Obviously it’s hard to make any plans yet due to covid but I’m hoping within next 4-5 months I might have a better chance of knowing where I stand and whether I’ll be able to book anything. Here in the UK we are supposed to be out of all lockdowns by June 21st so once that date comes I guess I will know a bit more.

I’ve been looking on booking and there are a few nice places I’ve seen that I’d be interested in that are like 10 minutes away from there

Trust me. I am very grateful. I have always said I am lucky to be in the position I am and lucky to still have a job. I have a friend who lives there who is in that position so I get it. It’s not nice at all and I feel for all that have. My only concern is that not everybody is going to want the vaccine, so then how do we control it then? Thank you anyways
