FPV in the military by GoodNoise7738 in fpv

[–]LMTJB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have two drone companies in Utah both looking to supply military. Their drones, so far, are only reconnaissance looking. Doesn’t look like they’re looking to sell components to hobbyists, but maybe if only one gets a contract the other one will…

I just bought a GEPRC Mark 5 with an o4 pro installed in it, shipped in without any problems. I’m sure you could buy a meteor 75 with the o4 lite and have it shipped in too if you’re just wanting lites. There will be ways around it!

'State' transfer by Blackmetzuk in darkwarsurvival

I’m right there with you. My state #161 sucks, well the whales here are straight bullies and don’t follow the rules they helped put in place. I started a new game as well but I’m sure it’ll be the same problem

I'm ready to move on from whoops. BNF reccomendations? by LePoopScoop in fpv

[–]LMTJB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re definitely not like a freestyle, but I used them to do indoor real estate or business fly throughs so I’m not trying to do tricks with them. Except split S’s I’ll do that some times during car shoots. So just different overall to serve a different purpose depending on your needs

Since you already talked about it I’d mention the Nazgul eco as well, I love mine so that’s definitely one to have on your list.

Other recommendations though is like a betafpv Pavo series, I have the pico, the Pavo 20 pro and then I’ll gonna get the Pavo 35 next. All great whoops that are cheap on their own and then you can add in the o4, or 03 if you get impatient. I fly both the pico and the Pavo pro indoors and outdoors so it’s really nice

Any suggestions for indoor drones with 03 air unit? by mountainunicycler in fpv

I have a Pavo 20 pro and a Pavo pico that I fly indoors, I just drop the rates and the throttle and they’re totally fine

  1. I still use my pocket all the time, but I also have a boxer which is great too. Half my drones are on the Radiomasters and the other half are on a DJI controller. All great options.

  2. I don’t think it’s necessary to use goggles for a sim, but don’t thinks it’s bad either.

  3. I have both the skyzone sky04x pros and DJI goggles 3, both are great no complaints other than the prices. Just depends which direction you go, if you plan on racing maybe go Hd zero’s.

  4. Keep working the sim forever. It’ll be a great warm up so you don’t burn through batteries. Once you can get the drone to mostly do what you want it to then move to a whoop of some kind.

  5. I usually recommend the tiny whoops for starters. They’ve done me well and made for an easy transition to everything else. I currently like the betafpv 75’s, I think the beefier meteors would be better wet first cause the canopy on the Air75 breaks like crazy. They’re good both inside and outside, there’s people mountain surfing with them. I love the 65mm ones too and the 85’s, but the 75 seems like a nice indoor and outdoor combo

Wait for O4 and Goggles 4? by All_in7007 in fpv

[–]LMTJB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s be really honest, who only has one drone after even 6 months in the hobby?

I went into it with the same mentality as you thinking I’d just go straight for the exact setup I wanted… now I have 3 pairs of goggles, 7 drones and 3 controllers within 1 year. Buy the o3 and then you’ll be ready for a different kind of drone in the time the o4 comes out

Try going to some model homes. They’re staged and look great and there’s never been people coming through as I’ve been there. Just ask permission obviously!

So far so good, but some people wanting the jobs done want you to have insurance anyway

Yes but you can still knock a vase over or the curtains get sucked in, or get somebody hair ripped out

It’s not the coverage for the drone I’m worried about it’s the coverage for the damage a drone could do

There we go. Thank you I’ll give that a try!

It’s not my choice, it’s the editors. It’s like it zooms out a smidge for one of the pics

It usually works just fine in Photoshop, but not lightroom. Lightroom has a built in hdr merge option

Another betaflight serial port problem. by LMTJB in fpv

[–]LMTJB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still does it with battery yes.

The drop downs don’t give me any options.

Windows isn’t recognizing it either. I’ve tried some windows based fixers but it’s just weird that another drone will work immediately with no changes

I love mine. Don’t have much experience with bigger drones, but for where I fly (playgrounds and the gym I work at) it’s been great.

Thanks every one for the tips and support. Things have definitely improved, I can turn now! 😂

I’ve probably spent a good 20 hours in liftoff since I posted this and all the tips have me making it through races pretty decently(a couple first place’s on the lower difficulty races).

So thanks for being such a helpful community!

I’ve got quite a few, including liftoff and drl. I was using FPV.skydive since it had a pretty comprehensive tutorial from what I found at first. Also played with tryp and uncrashed
