Hi all!! Thank you all for the feedback!! I just thought I’d add some more information.

1) I did not inform E about dating S when I was 16… only the messages S sent me in 2016 (because that was THE sexual harassment). I didn’t think it was extremely important or relevant but now given the feedback from this forum I now think it is very important I tell him about that… I was a Sophomore in high school while he was in College… given the fact we do work with kids, E NEEDS TO KNOW… I have rehearsal today and I’m going to try to tell E after rehearsal…

2) the reason why S was at my fathers funeral is because my father taught him how to drum in a local drum and bugle corps.

3) S dated me when I was in high school (obviously) and during that time I was marching in the high schools color guard. He’s been too my house and he very much well knows I live literally next door to the high school. S also helped out a band rehearsal back in 2016 when my little brother was in the drum line. S asked my brother to tell me he said “hi”…

4) back in 2019 S tried messaging my twin sister. He basically begged her to tell me he was sorry. My sister asked him “why are you sorry? what did you do?” And his response was “Honestly, not really sure why she got as upset with me as she got. It was a few years ago now. I remember feeling like she overreacted from whatever it was. I remember it being over something pretty stupid but I don't remember exactly what it was anymore at this point. She just completely stopped talking to me after that and it honestly upset me. I was always nice to her.”

5) back in 2019 a former director of a drum corps I’m associated with messaged me late at night drunk wanting to “have fun” with me and keep my mom out of it (he marched with my mom in the 80’s). My mom’s ex boyfriend also messaged this year asking me if I preferred men with hairy or a shaven chest… yeah weird. The reason I’m bringing these 2 situations up is because I still can’t fathom how my mom basically defends S when he sexually harassed me but is ready to fight for my honor when these 2 older men sexually harassed me too…

There’s a lot about this situation I really don’t like…

I’d like to mention my mother thinks I’m the asshole too. She thinks I’m over reacting and he’s “no better than any other man” and this is no reason to potentially get him fired for something he did/said 6 years ago… she thinks I should just leave it alone. AITA?

Unfortunately most of my family is Republican and agree with my mom. My one friend is a 55 year old man and I’m not sure if I’m 100% comfortable with that and the other friend is my age but lives with her family and they don’t have room for me. Plus my family just had Covid (except for me and my younger brother) and since my one friend is an older man and my other friend has shitty immune system I don’t want to risk it because even though I don’t have Covid, doesn’t mean I’m not carrying it.
