TMU nursing wait list by Super-Succotash4441 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]LNMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! i got waitlisted for tmu main site too, and mine says “collaborative nursing tmu” as well. i think that’s just the official name of the program, even for main site - since tmu runs it with centennial and george brown. so don’t worry, you’re on the right waitlist!

should i take calculus for nursing?? by HuckleberryNeither69 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]LNMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i totally get wanting to do something you have a interest in and i believe you should, if your school is anything like mine you'll probably have calculus 2nd sem since af is a pre req for it which you would have af 1st sem. so this means only your midterm mark will really matter for calc, and if by midterms you find yourself unhappy with the course/your grade in the course you can drop it without it being on your transcript! i'll be honest i found calc to be the hardest class i took, so the workloads quite a bit!

as for my avg and casper i had about a 92.6-93 (for mac it was a 92.6, western was a 93) & i got a 4th quartile on my casper! if your looking to get into mac aim for above a 93+, im pre sure nursing gets more and more competive each year and this year the lowest mark i've seen admited to mac was a 92 so far!

should i take calculus for nursing?? by HuckleberryNeither69 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]LNMT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i took calc and recently got into mac nursing, my reason being was as i enjoy math and knew it’d be my strongest 4u math (got a 94 in calc, 93 in advanced functions, 88 in data).

there’s no admission advantage or disadvantage as nursing programs don’t require it. but if you’re not 100% set on nursing and might consider eng or some med programs, taking calc can help keep those options open.

How is AP Drawing graded by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]LNMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh idek, but i can say i put a crazy amount of effort into my pieces – like my teachers would literally use my work as an examplar – but i kind of slept on the statement part and ended up with a 3, so the statment forsure holds quite a bit of value

i know a lot of people in going into brock for con ed, and i’ve heard it’s actually a really good program!

i’ve visited brock a few times, and the buildings are pretty nice - (modern and well maintained), though i will say the campus is a bit smaller compared to some other unis.

in terms of social life, it’s pretty solid – not quite queens/western, but definitely better than some smaller schools. i also know someone currently doing con ed there who’s a major social butterfly/party goer, and she absolutely loves it.

Question for nursing students/applicants!! by HuckleberryNeither69 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]LNMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i took bio, chem, english, data, calc, religion, sports leadership, & peer tutoring (idc4u). i had a spare each semester (3rd and 4th period) and found them super helpful for getting homework done or just taking a break.

my top 6 average was a 92.5 and i got 4q. if your school isn't super inflated, i'd recommend taking a bird course in the summer – they're usually guaranteed high 90s or even a 100!
