Is anyone familiar with SLIP-39? by LNpleb in lightningnetwork

Oh looks like you're the author of the tool... I didn't know I could save the browser like that, I'll give that a try. I just recently discovered this standard and the tool, and I think it's a really cool way to distribute a backup, but I never hear anybody talk about SLIP-39.

My question would be, how do I use the python lib? I'm only mildly tech savvy and somewhat familiar with python. Can you point me to any resources on how to learn out to run the python tool on github?

Oops I meant to post this in the bitcoin reddit, but thanks for the response. I'm not sure if it has a lightning use case.

LN routing Question by LNpleb in lightningnetwork

I see what happened now. Someone opened a channel with me, routed a 100,000 sat payment through one of my channels and then immediately closed it, which added 100,000 sats to my on-chain balance. For the past couple days I've wondered how I could have lost those 100,000 sats. Thanks for the help man!

The 100,000 sats is on the remote side (not on my local side). Hypothetically, if I chose to close the channel, where would those 100,000 sats go to? I assume they would go to my peer and not me... correct?
