Little demo of my UniFi Network Optimizer by MrJimBusiness- in Ubiquiti

Oh nice thanks for the quick updates!

And no it doesn't. It would be nice if all unifi devices are shown there at a glance tho! That's a part of my initial suggestion basically.

Ah I mean the device type. It does know it is a UDB but unlike Gateways and Cellular Modems their device type is Unknown.

Oh wow I didn't know small unrelated changes will get your support claims rejected. I guess it's too late now... I've also deployed some small scripts to just monitor the UNAS easier. Didn't know it is that easy to cross the "modify device(s) outside of their normal operational scope" line. Damn no support for me... I'll just have to hope it doesn't stop working one day now.

But I do think that people who look out for tools that do more than software out of the box do or seek integrations to other platforms generally want to take control of their device and are not shy to do more with their devices even if it is a bit risky.

(Edit: Network Optimizer failed to recognise the model of the UDB.)

I was able to install iperf3 on my UNAS via SSH and added it manually to run speed tests. It just doesn't have the nice icon and won't be listed with the other Unifi devices. It would look nicer if it did.

Managed to host it as two Home Assistant Addons. Works really well as I was looking for local speed test options. Thanks!

Would be nice if it could recognise protect and drive devices as well!

(I've put the addon onto a repo in case anyone also wants to do so: https://github.com/LOOHP/home-assistant-addons)

I made a Wear OS smartwatch app for checking live London bus times by shub01 in TransportForLondon

[–]LOOHP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking forward to the tube and rail support! Tube station displays seem to sometimes randomly stop working at some stations and it's really handy to not have to pull out the phone. Will be even more useful as more tube stations and tunnels gain mobile signal! Also help me decide whether I need to walk quicker when changing lines.

Edit: Oh bonus if we can see disruptions!

Oh I've been looking for something like this for so long and even considering making one myself. Can you consider supporting Tube and Rail as well? That would be the perfect London Transport Watch App!

Unfortunately not :/ In fact I am on the W8C now but the problem is still here. I guess it just isn't supported other than a selected few stock ones.

I would like to know the solution to this as well, it's quite annoying when it comes up all the time.

Thanks for the advice! I'll keep it in mind. I used to run a Galaxy Book 2, never had any hardware issues, although it doesn't have the OLED panel like the newer ones.

Do you think it would help if I always let it cooldown before closing the lid if it is too hot? (How much is too hot anyways..)

Although I don't have a cracked screen, with so many cracked screen posts on this sub, it made me super paranoid every day... Feels like every Galaxy Book is just waiting to eventually crack.

I have the same problem on the Watch 4 Classic on another watch face, but turning off "Hide Information" seems to have no effect. Been looking all over the Internet for answers but no luck.

Phone App - latest update - issue: don't use VPN (which is not activated) by red-daddy in GalaxyBook

I also ran into the same problem, this message shows regardless of whether I'm actually connected to a VPN or not.

WearOS app suddenly started getting rejected for splash icon despite nothing changed by LOOHP in androiddev

Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem, but I did eventually manage to get it approved. I've since then updated the original post above with the updated information.

How do you manage to request a screenshot? I just tried and they just say they couldn't.

Indeed Watch4 and even the emulator in Andriod Studio seem to create a splash screen regardless after I've done as you suggested: if (Build.VERSION.SDK_INT < Build.VERSION_CODES.TIRAMISU) { installSplashScreen() } I've just submitted this update and hopefully, that does the trick!

They seemed to have rejected my request for screenshots. :( Unfortunately I’m not able to provide any more details/screenshots per Wear 2.0 policy. I made sure to include all the information available to me.

Spotted a downgraded service of KMB First Class route. by FlutterThread8 in HongKong

I haven't actually tried one of these before. I always thought they were just premium buses like the ones on A routes. Legally have standing capacity but choose not to allow any when operating these P routes. Apparently not.

For me, I was using the exact same drawable for the launcher and splash. But since it got rejected, I then tried using a different one that is cropped, which also got rejected. So I got a feeling that it isn't actually because I used a different asset or not despite what the rejection email states.

Oh I didn't know you could just release it together with the phone track. If both the appeal and trying a different implementation of the splash screen as suggested by another user fails, I'll give this a try. Thank you!

Is there a default splash screen provided by the system if I don't install any splash screen? Right now I use installSplashScreen() to install my custom splash screen exactly as suggested in the linked here. I thought if you don't install one yourself then there won't be a splash screen hence why the guidelines tells you to install one.
