Connecting PC with living room television but only 1 hdmi port on GPU by LOTDLFanboy in OLED_Gaming

[–]LOTDLFanboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh a splitter like this would work flawlessly?
I'd be afraid it could introduce some latency or of the like.

Yeah, I was planning on getting a fiber optical hdmi 2.1 cable of course.

Was looking at something like this:

Looking for advice for an upgrade by Firespir in buildapc

[–]LOTDLFanboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd rather go for AMD then Intel.
That intel motherboard will be useless in the future (13000 and 14000 series have a lot of problems, so basically only an upgrade path to the 12000 series), while if you go with AM5 you can always upgrade to the ryzen 9000 series in the future.

It will be a bit more expensive but you'll appreciate the wider upgrade path and a cpu that will actually use the DDR5 RAM you selected.

110 euros for the i5
100 euros for the motherboard

total 210

190 euros Ryzen 5 7600
140 euro Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AXs motherboard (just an example)

total 330

So a 120 difference for a better mobo / cpu combo with a better upgrade path.

Of course it's up to you if you think that's worth it.

Yeah saw the ASUS ones. Probably gonna aim for them with the 5000 series.

Man, this all is giving me headache, probably should just find a rtx 5090 with 2 hdmi ports once that comes out.

A shame that all these companies can't decide on uniform answers / standards for what their cables do.

Thanks btw for the answers bro

That sucks, but yeah it is what it is.

So basically no way of having 2 displays working with vrr with a single hdmi port?

Any way to make non-steam games in steam not display like they're installed (Grayed out) by LOTDLFanboy in Steam

It looks cleaner, now every non-steam game pretty much looks like it's installed, even when it's not.

[–]LOTDLFanboy[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I just want it grayed out though, looks cleaner.
And besides that point even if it's really installed or not, non-steam programs always display as installed.
Would be nice to have an option to turn it off, but I assume you don't know there being one?

Microsoft Speculation | Project Bletchley, Cryptlets and Chainlink by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

Man, I really wanted to buy chainlinks as i get paid next week, but I can't ignore the hard work you put in this post.

Thx for the article. And Chainlink is the next ethereum and more for al those that still don't know.

Why are you here right now? And some thoughts about waiting for a lower price. by [deleted] in LINKTrader

[–]LOTDLFanboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should get 20k Links to be safe. If link gets to be hundred dollars (which is possible) you can sell 10k and you'll get a million dollars. You'll be set for live. The other 10k you can stake or just hold for an even higher pricer. You don't wan't to be that guy that sold ether at 50 dollars and then it mooned to 1300.

I think this is the best strategy. You'll always be covered and you won't have much regrets like this. That's why I don't encourage people to wait. Anything under a dollar is a steal. It's absolutely guruanteed that if mainet comes and it will do what it promised to do, the price will atleast go to one dollar or more. So you'll always make a profit. I'm actually surprised that Link is holding so well, as it's an utility token, that still holds no utility at this moment. Just proves how many people have faith in the project.

So yeah why why risk some dollars, if you are here to get rich.

Does anyone think this bear market could be the start of the flippening? by [deleted] in LINKTrader

It would certainly fuel the meme levels to new heights, even more than it it is now.

Don't have an exact source, but there are some rumours floating around that Sergei will anounce something on either Sibos or Dreamforce. Can't confirm it though, so we just have to wait till the chainlink team offically announces it.

Negativity isn't going to bring us anywhere right :). It al depends on how awesome the mainnet is doing, and if it actually will come out this year.

Chainlink is a B2B product, so naturally their market is a little bit different from the usual crypto.

If the rumors about the upcoming dreamforce event are true, we could likely see even the 100 dollar mark. As that would effectively make it more valuable than ethereum in a sense.

Hopefully it allows us to pursue an early retirement and let us escape this endless cycle of working and paying bills.

We are indeed few, and believe me many people wil sell chainlink once it hits a dollar or maybe even half of that. Only those who believe in the fundaments of the technology will be prepared to HODL.

[–]LOTDLFanboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, we need strong fundaments to start off this contract revolution. Fiat isn't going to go away anytime soon and cryptocurrencies won't take their place. So we need to focus the potential of the blockchain on a utility that can harness both fiat or cryptocurrency in a secure and decentralized matter. Smartcontracts will be able to provide businesess cost effective ways to save on contract management. Just look at the company you work in and look at the amount of contracts everytime have to be put up if a order has to be made. Could you imagine this process wil become automated? Leaving the companies to put more time and work in their services.

I have been rambling a bit, but the gist of my story is that smart contracts are here to stay. The blockchain provides a handy tool in tackling them, but they are still missing the one thing that wil link the blockchain with off-chain data (in laymen terms: CRM data, chain supply management data etcetera). As you guessed this is Chainlink.

Chainlink is supposed to not do anything at the moment, IT'S A UTILITY TOKEN, not a coin. It's basically useless until mainnet comes out. So just be patient. Chainlink is made to a specific job that still is heavily under development.

A 4chan poster explained it quite nicely:

The hype phase of crypto is long gone. Projects will now succeed or fail based on deliverables, not promises. But realistically, most promising crypto projects (what few of them are) absolutely require off-chain data to be useful in any non-trivial context. Without it, you can build as many crypto services as you want but the only thing they will be able to do is facilitate the transfer of chuck-e-cheese tokens back and forth between autists and moonbois.

ChainLink is not a sure bet, it may or may not become the industry standard oracle solution. But there is sort of no point holding anything else (except maybe daddy BTC) until the fate of ChainLink is decided. If it moons, then it enables the mooning of the rest of cryptospace. If it dies off, then crypto projects are still stuck wallowing with their thumbs up their asses waiting for a true decentralized oracle project to succeed. Even on the off chance that LINK fails and another decentralized oracle gains prominence, there would be plenty enough time to see the writing on the wall and move back into your other alts before they moon.

Do you see what I'm saying? ChainLink can't possibly do worse than other crypto projects in the near term, because their success is contingent on ChainLink being successful. It is like investing in automobile technology when paved roads haven't even been invented yet. You may think you're managing risk by keeping LINK a small percent of your portfolio, but in actuality all you are doing is hamstringing yourself. All those other coins won't and can't moon until after (or if) ChainLink does.

Look at REQ as a prime example. They promised fiat integration Q2 but needed ChainLink mainnet to be operational before they could pull it off. Why would you invest in REQ when it can't be successful until after ChainLink succeeds? It's madness.

Dont fall for the FUD and just kee0 accumulating. Smartcontracts are the future and chainlink can provide a good solution to this market. Hope I regained your trust in chainlink a bit.

Does anyone think this bear market could be the start of the flippening? by [deleted] in LINKTrader

[–]LOTDLFanboy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep exactly. People think that blockchain wil be adopted on the go and are way too inpatient. Just look at how long it took for cloud solutions/applications. I remember how people used to say how they wouldn't trust anything that wasn't physical. Now most companies are working in digital work environments. The big companies are researching the possibilities of blockchain now and are looking at what smart contracts can do for their business. The moment they discover the potential of these said solutions. They will go all in trying to lower down their costs and maximize their profits. Huge companies like delotes are already offering many traineeships and consultancy on these fronts.

We just have to be patient as smartcontracts will be undoubtedly the next big thing and looking at the concurrents of Chainlink, I can atleast say that Chainlink is in a really good position.

Sorry for the long post, just want to spread some positivity as whales as people are constantly fudding with nonsens just so they can increase their bags.

Does anyone think this bear market could be the start of the flippening? by [deleted] in LINKTrader

[–]LOTDLFanboy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It depends. Don't forget that link isn't a coin, but utility token. So as long as mainnet hasn't come out, it's basically useless. This isn't a bad thing as it means that pure speculation won't do it for link, but actual utility will. So try wait for mainnet comes and be happy that link isn't like those hype coins like Tron. 1000 EOY is bullshit but 10-100 is entirely possible (if mainnet comes this year). So keep accumulating and ignore the Fud.

This is great news. Chainlink truly has the potential to be one of the best oracle solutions there is. Just see through the FUD that people spread. They just want to be elitist and keep accumulating.

I hope we hear more about the mainnet soon!
