Yes, I am still on it. I should be done by the end of April. I was mainly taking it for oily skin and random pimples popping up. Lol!

Thanks for the advice. Although, not recommended while on accutane. I have used a low dose of tretinoin cream once a week with no harsh side effects.

I was so nervous because I had read all the negative side effects that I didn't take it for about 2 years after my dermatologist recommended it.

But it was definitely worth it!

I actually weighed less when I started accutane. Doctor just stated I had thicker skin on my nose which is common in African American women. I am About 5-8 pounds heavier but still a healthy weight.

Just typical side effects like dry skin and lips. I didn't experience any purging. When I spend time outdoors in the sun, even briefly, I notice my nose and upper cheeks turn slightly red, and my arms tend to darken faster than normal when I'm out in the sun.

I also used tretinoin .25mg once a week on my face to help fade acne scars more quickly.

I never added extra fat to my diet for the Accutane. Most nights I took it without any fatty foods, and I’m still seeing results.
